Quote Hakusensha's LaLa magazine is announcing that Matsuri Hino will launch the final story arc of her Vampire Knight manga in the March issue on January 24. The series revolves around Yuki, a high school girl whose unique school features a "day class" of normal kids and a "night class" of vampires. She works with her adopted father and headmaster to prove that vampires can coexist with humans peacefully, but the school — and the vampires — hide many secrets.
Hino launched the manga in LaLa in 2004, and Hakusensha will publish the 17th compiled book volume next month. Viz Media will publish the 16th volume in March in North America, and the company also released the 2008 Vampire Knight anime series and its Vampire Knight Guilty followup.

It's been fairly apparent that the series was coming to a close, but I think it's been well-paced up till now and I hope Matsuri can keep it going until the end.

I hope they dont give an open ending .Or the manga where you get the feeling, "Oh, it ended? OK".
I'm counting on her for a good well detailed ending.

Finally! It's about time to pick up the series again, but it looks like I need to re-read it first, lol (^o^).

It was a good series. I just hope in the next one it will be easier to distinguish between characters.

final arc? does anyone know how long itll take to finish though? i stopped reading half way ive been waiting until it finishes to just start form the beginning again. lol

Spoiler (mouse over to view) Ok, so let me get this straight: Yuki finally decided to go for Kaname dumping Zero once and for all, they kiss and have sex, no kidding.
As a Zero supporter from day 1 this story has suddenly become crap for me.
VK author, sorry but I am dissapointed.

My heart just shattered.
I was REALLY hoping for Spoiler (mouse over to view) Zero and Yuki to end up together OR they all fly solo.
This seriously screwed up my day. I knew you would become utter crap to me one day, VK.
