Hey guys

So I've been wondering for a while that if there's any yaoi with good plot. Most of the yaoi have the same basis and all. I don't really mind that actually. What I'm looking for right now is a good yaoi who focuses on character development and have a good plot. I really want it to be long. Even more than one volume is good enough. And I only want one couple. Not like how it is in some yaoi that it switches back and forth between different couples.
These are some that I really enjoyed:
-Totally Captivated Mu favorite yaoi since it's long and it has an awesome plot with great art.
-All of YAMANE Ayano's works, I love her plots and art they're great!!!
-Jazz
-All of KANBE Akira's works
-All of TATENO Makoto'w works
-Cut Really liked how unique the plot was in this one
-Undergrand Hotel and other works of that other, I really liker the author( SADAHIRO Mika ) works since they all have something unique in them. And I like how smutty they are
-Kayashimashi no Yuuga na Seikatsu
-Sono Kuchibiru ni Yoru no Tsuyu even though it's short the plot is good and unique
-Brother x Brother
-Super Lovers

So generally I really like some psychological issue involved. Some incests are good too like the ones I mentioned above. Ohh, and I read a whole bunch of old yaoi and long manga but I didn't really like them. So please avoid any old yaoi recommendations.

So, I went through my "Complete Yaoi" list and pulled a few from there that I thought were different from your average yaoi and that had character development. A few of these are older, but the art isn't bad like most old yaoi. (I can't stand to read manga that doesn't have at least decent art - however some are just so good the art doesn't matter *tehe*) There are a couple of these that aren't complete, but get updated frequently. I will put notes by those just so you will know. Most of these are longer, but a few are only one volume but are still really good. If you can tell me what ones out of this list you enjoyed I will look for more ^.^! Hope this helps...

≠ - 11 Chapters - This is my favorite yaoi that has Real incest in it (Ya know, like how BrotherxBrother they aren't REALLY related =P Love that yaoi though it is in my top 10)
Arashi no Ato - This one is only 6 chapters, but I thought it was pretty well developed ^.^
Boku wa Kimi no Tori ni Naritai - Again, only 6 chapters, but WOW... love this manga - I think it was the first I read that made me cry.
Bokura wo Shihaisuru Kotoba - meh... This one's only 4 chapters (Thought it was longer) but totally deserves a read!
Brothers (YAMAMOTO Kotetsuko) - 11 Chapters - Really cute and has good development (or I think it does)
Complex - 4 volumes - this is one of the older ones I was talking about. It took me a while to give this one a shot, but I was really glad that I did. This is another tear jerker.
Gokujou no Koibito - 4 Volumes - I love ALL of MINASE Masara's works - even her oneshots have great character development.
Gravity Eyes - 8 chapters
Home Drama - only 5 chapters, but it is really good and different. Don't let the cover art fool you.
Honto Yajuu - 5 volumes - love love LOVE this manga!!!
Hydra - 11 chapters - It has a lot of stories that go with it and then it goes on to Rules - I would suggest reading all of them because they are so freaking great! MIYAMOTO Kano is the best like EVER I love all of her stories, so if you haven't you should check out her works!
Itsuka Koi ga Kanau Made - this is a cute 5 chapter story - but it is developed really well.
Keep Out (KISARAGI Hirotaka) - 8 chapters - this is by the Mangaka that did BrotherxBrother
Kimi no Kao ni Sasu Kage - only 5 chapters, but it is really good!

Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru and Sequel Sojou no Koi wa Nido Haneru - All I can say is.... Love..... *hehe*
Mezame no Mori - 5 Chapters - this is unlike any yaoi I have read before... it is so twisted... but still good
Not so Bad - 2 volumes - this is a manhwa and again, don't let teh cover art fool you, I let it fool me for a bit but the art isn't bad and it is a wonderful story.
Sakura-Gari - 3 Volumes - this was just mind blowing... so tragic... I cried... a LOT
Sono Yubi Dake ga Shitteiru - 1 volume - This is a shounen-Ai - I normally don't read those, but this one was really good.
Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu. - 2 volumes - this is my favorite single father yaoi... love it
Taiyou no Kikoushi - 6 chapters
Tenshi no Uta (NISHIDA Higashi) - 2 volumes - full of angst
U Don't Know Me - 1 volume - another manhwa - I really liked it
Usotsuki wa Dareda - 6 chapters - really cute read
Bokutachi Futari ga Koisuru Riyuu - only 4 chapters, but it is really good
Yume wo Miru Hima mo Nai - 7 chapters - the art is okay but I really liked the story
Yume Musubi Koi Musubi - 4 volumes - absolutely magnificent!
Love x Ero - 3 Volumes - not complete, but gets updated at least once amonth... if not more
Koi to wa Yobenai - 2 volumes - not compete but gets updated VERY frequently
Love Stage!! - 13 chapters - not complete, but gets updated frequently (Not as frequent as the other 2 thought)
Okay, so I know there are a lot, but I wasn't sure what you were looking for exactly - Let me know out of these what ones you would like to read or have already read and like and I will look for more. Hopefully a couple of these will pique your interest!

Not Equal is a incest themed manga but it has a good reason for it. (pretty unique actually) Yatteraneeze! is kind of old but the art is really nice so I highly recommend it since it deals with heavy issues.
Koujitsusei no Tobira has a complicated storyline and the art might not be your style, considering you’re picky, and so am i.. but it was still good. ^^
Lovers Doll such an adorable manga that I highly recommend. (it’s about a guy falling In love with a doll)
Doushitemo Furetakunai or Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki mo Sezu are stunning manga's to be read by Yoneda Kou. If you surprisingly haven’t read any of her works, you have to, I mean ABSOLUTELY have to. (you will be satisfied)

Sorry for the super late reply. It took me a while to read all those. And I like most of them. Well I read some of them before and they were all my favorites that I would re read like a thousand times
For the new ones, I really liked the ones with the psychological issue involved, or somehow it was dark. like Mezame no Mori, I really really liked it. Sakura-Gari was indeed a very tragic and dark one. Loved it again. Not Equal kinda had the psychological thingie which got me hooked. It was VERY unique. Never read anything like it.
Now back to the bright side, I absolutely loved Complex. Even though it was something I read before I just had to say it. It's so unique how it shows their relationship throughout their whole life. Very very unique. Loved it. It made me cry at the end
Oh right, I forgot to include but I've read all of MINASE Masara's works before. And loved them all

I LOVED Honto Yajuu. The uke was so innocent. I was like this is so cute!
Strong uke lead:
U Don't Know Me really REALLY liked it. Already read it twice
I liked how the uke was strong even though he looked fragile.
Keep Out (KISARAGI Hirotaka), as always loved the art in this one and the story line was surprisingly good.

The rest of them I read before. I really LOVED all your suggestions. They were great. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me more

The one that I liked the most was surprisingly Koujitsusei no Tobira. yeah it was confusing the first time I read it, I was like what the hell is going on
But then I re read and I was like wow, never saw that coming. Loved the twist and the mystery in it.
And yeah, I forgot but I read most of [YONEDA Kou]'s works, including the ones you suggested. Thanks again

INARIYA Fusanosuke has a lot of good manga.
There's a novel that's been adapted to an anime, Ai no Kusabi. There's a lot of smut but the author manages to stuff in some plot.
Seven Days is soft yaoi(?)/shounen ai but it's really nice. There's also a hot kiss scene.
Also check out Kyuugou's works.

Under grand hotel - this is a little bit hardcore and the plot is not sweet. If you dont mind, this is a great one.
Maiden Rose - this is sure one of the best yaoi I have ever read. Amazing plot
Totally captivated - this is awesome. Long but really good
Bi No Isu - Sweet in an interesting way. It is a mafia related yaoi
