Saw it! Loved it. And I love the novel too, so even though there's a lot of differences, they're each their own piece. Take into account that film is a different genre of storytelling when you go to see it, that is, if you're easily offended by changes from the novel.

Just came back from watching it. and WOW. It was absolutely phenomenal. The power went out in the middle of it tho haha, but i guess that just made it that much more special :3 Overall a great movie, really do recommend for those who havent seen it yet
I really enjoyed watching it. At one of the scenes where Gandalf reappears, we in the front row all where yellin' "It''s Gandalf!!" Bilbo was played really well, and the Dwarves made a lot scenes much more funny. I can recommend it to any one of my friends. Hope y'all who haven't seen it yet will have the chance to!
they throw the necromancer out of dol guldur and he finds a palantir there? would be the easiest way. but as it shows he already was an arrogant douchebag
That movie was so draggy it would bore an Ent. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I expected (The Hobbit is one of my favorite books). It was a nice idea to include stuff that wasn't in the book, but was part of the universe, yet that still isn't enough to stretch into 9 hours of film.
