the mayan callender did not end
one unit of 2366 years ended[forgot the exact years one of these cycles last]
basically
its year one now...in their next unit of time
this happens every 23xx something years in their callender and is something normal
i dont see the problem here lol

I went ice skating to celebrate the end of the world! It was so fun... It was my first time ice skating (I don't consider the time in first grade my first time... because that was SO long agoooo...) and I didn't fall! I held onto my two dude friends and they led me around the rink. It was awesooommeee. And then we went to IHOP and when it turned midnight, nothing happened. :3 That was the best end of the world day ever! <3

there's no point in believing anything about "the end of the world" right?
it doesn't end -> you'll get to laugh at those idiots that did believe it
it does end -> surely there won't be anyone left laughing at you for not believing it

They should had gave him a prize rather than that, the guy was genius and it annoys me to no end that he was punished because of such a great idea.
