Hi, I recently watched Capeta and then read the manga because I was so absorbed in it. Therefore I was wondering if there are any other manga or anime like it. I would prefer it to be an anime since watching was better than reading but any is fine. I would like something like Capeta where the protagonist is a prodigy of some sort (in Capeta it was racing) but no one realizes it until the story progresses. There has to be something special that makes the protagonist stand out from others. If possible I would like it to also friendship involved and growth. Out of the manga and anime that I read and watched there are probably a few like Capeta but listing them might diverge you from the concept that I'm looking for in Capeta so I won't list them. Thank you very much!

The anime has 6 seasons and it's amazing. I don't think he was ever referred to as a prodigy but he is definitely a step above the crowd.

Try the anime Over Drive , main character becomes obsessed with bikes and he has a quaky personality. The anime of initial D (5th season airing now), and Second Major, which has 6 anime seasons.
