With security and privacy an increasing area of general concern while browsing, it would be nice to allow an option to enable session encryption by default.

You can right now, enable SSL by manually navigating to https://www.mangaupdates.com so I know this is already implemented, but it would nice for it to be a default option.

I like the idea of having SSL by default, but I need to do a little more research to see how bad the performance impact will be.

For now, users can maintain an encrypted as well as unencrypted session separate from each other.

Or at the very least, it would be nice to have it as an option for users to "re-direct to a secure session" when navigating to the http address. This wouldn't have to be enabled by default, but would give users who care an option to do so.
