Molester Man's translation has just finished, and I'm looking for something similar to it to fill that Molester Man shaped hole in my heart.
Thank you

Unfortunately I've already had the pleasure of reading Onani Master Kurosawa and most of YOKO's other stuff.

If you liked Molester Man, I think you'll like these almost just as much.
Genshiken - The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture
Cheese in the Trap
D-ASH
Sukimasuki
Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki
Heptagon
Sugar Dark: Umerareta Yami to Shoujo
Ciguatera
they all have romance in it and are all SOLID mangas that you won't regret reading

I know what you feel after finishing mangas like Onani and Chikan-Otoko
yeah doujin-manga like these are rare and thats why they are jems (raw jems)
maybe its time to go out wild and make a real life love comedy (or drama if it turn out bad) I had my share of those and I'm getting old so i disgress
oh yeah check NHK too
its maybe different but share the same amount of insanity

Molester Man is good. Made me start reading comics again.
Here is some stuff that I remember gave me kind of the same feeling I had when reading Molester Man. Maybe they seem quite random for you
Ohikkoshi
By Chance, We... and...
Yesterday o Utatte
Boys on the Run
Nineteen, Twenty-One
Please! Mr. Bear!
Piercing
Densha Otoko - Net Hatsu, Kakueki Teisha no Love Story
Yume no Atosaki
I am hoping to see more releases of this ones
Kick no Oneesan
Toribako House

eh sorry for recommending NHK while your very avatar is from this manga XD
nothing cames to mind at this time
but I hope you make it clear in what way similar to this
a Doujin-manga?
a RL story?
something about Net-culture (ex:2chan)?
something about personal madness?
personal life drama?
otaku life/ NEET life?

Since I found useless opening up a new thread to ask for almost the same thing, I apologize to gabe475 and I'll hijack his thread.
I'm too looking for something like Molester Man, but there are a couple of things I want to precise. I'm looking for a realistic romance manga told from a male point view, but for instance I totally hate the already mentioned Onani Master Kurosawa, because imho that story and some characters are totally unrealistic
What I liked most about Molester Man is that characters really felt like real people (real story after all). Despite someone mentioned insanity, I didn't find the story strange at all. People reports the crappiest stuff that happens to them on Facebook all the time, so I didn't find anything weird in Molester's behavior, especially since in the outside world he actually behaved like a normal person most of the time. I'd say the most similar things I read are Densha Otoko, obviously, Genshiken (but this one I wouldn't call it a romance manga, so it's slightly off from what I'm asking), Solanin (but it's not from a male point of view) and maybe D-Ash (it's not bad, but the drama felt too forced to me, the story really didn't flow very well). These stories felt written as a "normal" story more than a story specifically thought to be a manga, at least to me.
I read some of the previous recommendations, but none of them impressed me very much (Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki is a typical gag otaku style manga, Sukimasuki seemed very boring and uninteresting to me, etc.). I'll give feedback if I found something mentioned that fits.
In short:
- point of view: male
- realistic romance development
- guy fall in love for a reason, not with a girl just because she's the first one to appear in the story (the bitchy Suzuka, if you know what I mean).
- manga, manhwa, manhua, dj even light novel are ok for me, webcomic not.
Thank you in advance.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
is there something more unrealistic than a guy cumming on a girl's flute and be forgiven by her boyfriend? I don't think so
. I liked NHK but again that's not what I want, the development is quite implausible there. What I liked most about Molester Man is that characters really felt like real people (real story after all). Just a general reply to "similar to Molester Man".
You could look up more "Based on a True Story", but this one is also from 2ch like Train Man.

I've just recently read The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat
mayb because i didn't have any expectation and mistook it for a ecchi-shounen manga (actualy its seinen) I was pleasantly surprised by its depth well hidden under a simplistic facade, the protag although driven by teenage erologic have another face to him when he make some few intelligent re marques (and reference Oscar Wilde )
in this I though this manga shares some similitudes in this way to Aku No Hana (this one I highly recommend)
the personalities act their age but the story intelligence is above that of the characters
in the end this one is quiet similar to Molester man
we have a perverted teenage (as opposed to a young adult) and his unplanned actions and weird situation that I found realistic (they mirror the weird days of my school life)
a good read thought not too mature like Molester-man
though if you prefer more Mature real-life romance check TOUME Kei works

If you want realistic... I can suggest some that may fit, with caveats:
Byousoku 5 Centimeter, warning: not really a happy ending
Chobits, suspend your belief a little and imagine into the not-so-distant future
Koharu no Hibi, initially, the guy is a little reluctant
Koi Kaze, incest. I got mixed feelings about it, but it's realistic, I suppose.
Miman Renai, older guy, underaged girl. Never happens, right?
Natsu no Zenjitsu, warning: angst
Yesterday o Utatte, mentioned already, extremely slow romance.

Thanks. I already read/watched 5cm/s, Chobits, Koi Kaze, Miman Renai. Don't get me wrong, some of them are good, but the only one who gave me a "real person" feeling is 5cm/s.
The other three are already on my wish list, I'll probably start Koharu no Hibi as soon as I can, but for the other two I prefer to wait until they'll be completed. Thanks for your recs.
