If anyone has any must-read seinen or simply strange, offbeat works I may not know about, please share. My tastes are pretty broad, but I prefer non-formulaic plots, realistic characters and somewhat unforgiving storytellling. Current heroes are Hiroki Endo, Igarashi Daisuke, Jiro Matsumoto, Keiichi Koike, Hideo Yamamoto, and the Nishioka Brosis. Thanks.

Kimi no Knife Kiseijuu Kurosagi Liar Game Momonchi Music of Marie Mushishi Natsunokumo Omoide Emanon Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki Otoyomegatari Piano no Mori Shin Angyo Onshi Shut Hell Suiiki Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan: Totteoki no Uso Vampir Vinland Saga Wolfsmund Yume Tsukai Also recommending anything by Urasawa Naoki, especially Pluto, Takahashi Tsutomu, especially Sky High, and Asano Inio. Anything else by Toume Kei and Kitoh Mohiro are usually pretty good too.

(several of these are oneshots, and the list emphasizes offbeat, rather than "must-read"): Takemitsu-Zamurai and everything else by MATSUMOTO Taiyou Paperakyu as well as all other works by MATSUNAGA Toyokazu Ranman as well as all other works by KATOU Shinkichi Yume no Soko and Shiroi Kumo Plastic Girl (FURUYA Usamaru), Garden (FURUYA Usamaru) and Palepoli Chapters 8-10 and 12 of Kasutoro Shiki, and Dance! Kremlin Palace Milk Closet Getenrou Human Clock Kuro to Maruko My Health Minotaurus's Plate The Time Milk Wound the Spring Forgery Space and Searching for the Enemy

In that case, here are a few more series worth reading (although they're not really on the lighter side): Not Simple Twin Spica NonNonBa and Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths A Drunken Dream and Other Stories New Engineering - I've yet to read the other three series by YOKOYAMA Yuuichi that have been published, but I imagine they're interesting as well. A Single Match - I'd particularly recommend this if you enjoy the available works by TSUGE Yoshiharu.
