Okay this is a lil unusual, not a manga story but one of those short one-page little bonus comics that authors sometimes draw in tankobons (when they have a small number of extra pages to fill).

The mangaka was poking fun at one of her assistants for touching food displays to see if the food is real and then being grossed out when it was actually real food.

It was a shoujo and I read it like... at least 5 years ago. Based on what I used to read the most at the time it was probably smut, too. Sorry, that's all I can remember, hope someone can still help me identify.

Do you remember the style of the drawings? Or if the author was using some kind of avatar to represent people (like Arakawa Hiromu and Chika Umino use animals to represent themselves)?

Don't remember anything in particular stuck out about the drawings, but I'm sure it wasn't typical of the mangaka's usual style since those types of things are usually done with less care than the actual manga.
Figures were human, chibi I think.
