Hi Looking for a manga that contains characters of immense powers that isnt the enemy or Main Character.. but stronger than them

Hard to explain.. so i rather give some examples
1) One piece: Luffy is the main character but The most powerful pirates were PirateKing Roger and Whitebeard ( tentatively till now).

2) Tower of God: There is a power ranking but they have not yet affect the story. Since the powerful characters have not really appeared ( other than urek mazino)

Any similar manga will probably have fighting/fantasy/shonen tags

What im not looking for
1) Fairy tail: strong enemy appears, main character gets stronger and beat him.

2) Bleach type: strong enemy appears, main character gets stronger and beat him, and repeat until the point he becomes "strongest"

sry for ranting TT... hopefully i can find at least 1 or 2 similar manga to read... i have a really weird taste haha

@silencecomes: I suggest you reread the OP again.

The first that came to my mind is Fullmetal Alchemist, and I'm not even 100% sure. I'll update this post as soon as I remember more titles.

EDIT: now that I think about it, FMA doesn't count because of Father.

Rurouni Kenshin has what you're looking for I'd say. Author was told to minimize this characters appearance due to overbadassery and being way too overpowered that he steals the spotlight basically.

Kekkaishi would probably fits your idea.
Having the strongest 'being' that neither took the hero's side nor the enemy's side. I guess..

Full metal Alchemist - though it is difficult to determine who exactly is the strongest character, there are a few contenders.

07-Ghost - Well, Teito has potential to be the strongest, but isn't. You'll understand what I mean if you read it. He also can't be the sole strongest character because

the source of his power has a counterpart
. I'm not sure how this will play out, but it is not your typical shounen style and has a complex plot, so I think you will enjoy it.

Inuyasha - Well Inuyasha isn't actually the strongest
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I would say Sesshomaru is stronger and Naraku
, but Inuyasha is pretty strong to begin with and this does follow the 'stong enemy comes along, Inuyasha gets stronger and defeats him' type plot so typical of shounen manga.

Mx0 - The main character in this is far from the strongest, but the manga was cancelled and ends very unsatisfactorily, just so you know. Still worth a read, but be prepared for the abrupt ending.

Witch Hunter - Tasha isn't the strongest Witch Hunter, there are many characters much stronger than he is. Not sure how this one will go yet, but so far he gets beaten up a fair amount.

Break Blade - I'm only a few chapters in, so I apologise if I'm completely off the mark about this, but Lygart isn't the strongest character by a long shot. This manga is a little troo focused on the action and not enough on the emotion if you ask me, but is decent enough.

Just to add to this, 07-Ghost is josei. Thus, it's no where near a shounen and a seinen combined. A lot of joseis, out of Zero-Sum, feature a lot of guys in complex story scenarios. smile And, some of these guys may be more powerful than the main main character.

Ao No Futsumashi (although he will probably get stronger and beat everyone's asses he still isn't the strongest)
