I don't think there's such a thing as "yaoi" magazines and "shounen-ai" magazines in Japan In Japan there are "BL" magazines, which could basically have non-explicit, mildly explicit, moderately explicit, or very explicit stories. Bara magazines are another thing entirely, of course, and I think some BL magazines cater to the more hentai/smut end of the spectrum than others, but in any given BL mag there could be shounen-ai and yaoi stories.
As for the topic at hand: I only read the first few chapters and then dropped it because of the shotacon, but if there are sex scenes, whether explicit or half-shown, as long as they're not completely fade-to-black, it'd count as yaoi according to MU classification.
