so im looking for a manga/s that have intelligent and interesting characters, because i hate dumb heroes, so what im basically looking for is well not neceseserily a complicated plot, i just want the characters not to be dumb and airheaded and girls too, female leads that dont space out and dont speak slowly please. If im offending one of you favorite manga then no offence biggrin

Seconding Shin angyo onshi and heres some more with clever protagonists:

Liar game- At first when reading it the girl is the exact embodiment of what you don't want, but if you read further she gets better and more becomes the type you're after, the male lead is always the character type you're after

Bloody Monday -smart kid prodigy, hacking manga

ES -everyone in this is smart, like doctor level smart

Kurosagi-Smart male lead

Dendrobrates-Smart/observant/badass main lead...

Yokokuhan-Smart in his evasion of the police...and follows his strong convictions with questionable actions like in Death note.

M.C.Law-lawyer main lead

Yugo the negotiator-Negotiates with terrorists, mafia, most underground organizations....

Historie-Eumenes the mc is really smart with a lot of problem solving in the manga

Mushishi-Spirits/journey with quite a relaxed but bright protagonist

Spiral:suiri no kizuna-The kid protagonist is a genius detective going against crazy murderous genius kids whilst trying to find clues about his brother....

Amatsuki-he's pretty smart, like smart in some aspects, but more cheerful than the examples you gave...he's not dumb but not a genius XD which is why he gets put last....

I believe the word you're looking for is "epic". Not the characters, but the manga itself. The characters show good self-awareness and the manga has a very engaging plot. Some of the most "epic" mangas I've read are:

Battle Angel Alita + sequel
Advancing Giants
Btooom! (maybe, but you might not like the girl)
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - "Kono Watashi no Mono Tonare, Yuusha yo" "Kotowaru!"
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
Trinity Seven: 7-Nin no Mahoutsukai
Hoshi no Samidare
Emma

I liked
Iris Zero

sunder is right, as good manga tend to include these points
just search the 'looking for' section for 'epic'

If you liked Death Note then if you have yet to do so, you should check out Bakuman. Its by the same duo, though if you are looking for something similar to Death Note and Code Geass in terms of plot then it might not be what you are looking for.

Zennou no Noa - The World of Lostmemories did give me that feeling that Death Note and Code Geass have. It's not a great manga, though. It could be if it wasn't that rushed. Still, it was a good read and you might find it interesting as well.
