So Zaraki becomes stronger whenever he has a near death experience (or dies?)... hopefully he figures out how to turn super saiyan in the next chapter.

Serious question: Did Tite forget that Zaraki is the 10th Kenpachi? Why would he be the only one to wound Unohana if she lost the position a long time ago?
So, by that logic, is Zaraki Kenpachi also the 2nd Kenpachi? He certainly has more than just one wound.
Edit: It would make sense that after he lost to the 3rd one, he would renounce the name (while also keeping his sword). That would explain him being nameless until he meets Yachiru (just after he beats the 9th Kenpachi to "restore" his name). It's a stretch, but by the conversation, it's become my prediction.

Did you consider the possibility of Unohana just having stepped down from the title, suppressing the killer inside and learning to heal instead? As a penance for her deeds thus far or something like that.
There is nothing actually stating that you *have* to kill the previous Kenpachi to get the title. It may usually go that way due to the situation surrounding the title and the personality of those who crave it, but it is not an absolute necessity.

Unohana stepped down.

I only hope they find a way to save both, I like both characters maybe they both killers, but the "now" Unohana is Zaraki's opposite, they are like Yin and Yang and they must coexist.
If Urahara Kiske was there then he would figure it out how to make Zaraki stronger without sacrificing Unohana, coz he's the man who has fingers in all the pies

You really think any one of them will die now?!? I can bet both of them will live after this training session, and Zaraki will achieve super saiyan mode.

Yes, there is nothing stated about killing the previous Kenpachi to take the title, but *defeat* is a must. Otherwise, there would not be a second Kenpachi even if she stepped down from that position. The title was made for her, and thus it's hers until she loses it. It makes no sense that she could lose it without suffering a single wound.

I'm pretty sure Unohana will "die," but return during the final battle having used some healing technique that has never been shown, probably some derivative of the hot spring thing (to prove that she's better than that guy...).

Ah, what? Why doesn't it makes sense that you could lose the title without any wounds? There are many ways of settling who is the best. Not all of 'em involve the spilling of blood.
And what exactly, would prevent some other strong knuckle-dragger from just claiming the title for himself, say.. after Unohana had stepped down, taking a more low profile, and after taking down 50 other strong dudes in a battle royale?
Yachiru is the name-title that cannot really be "claimed" by others in a similar way, since it involves something that is implied to be unique to Unohana, aka her mastery of a shitload of swordstyles. The way Zaraki used it for his foundling was just a "in honor of" naming, not a title grab.
Kenpachi is a title akin to a boxing or other martial arts champion. You don't always have to defeat the former champion to claim championship. Hell, Zaraki himself took the title for himself first and then "officially" earned it later. You can even stretch it like this: You are Kenpachi if you say you are Kenpachi, and the only way to deny it is to kick your ass. It really is just a fancy claim of being a baddest mofo. Those that don't try to apply for it aren't included (otherwise, Yamamoto would have been the 'effin Kenpachi.)
Edit: Eh. The pendulum arc discussed that just actually leaving Gotei 13 was impossible (but consider the elder Omaeda, Yoruichi's vice-captain from those times. He is, in effect, completely retired from Gotei 13.) There is nothing there that would imply that a captain could not change between divisions when a seat becomes open. Yes, a seat still needs to be filled, but maybe the next Captain aspirant was better suited to 11th division instead of the 4th. Kirinji Tenjirou said he taught Unohana healing at some point. This must have been after her time as Kenpachi, seeing as a stone-cold killer would have little interest for that. Would make sense that being taught by a genius healer would earn you credit for the seat as the healing-bus captain.

Perhaps, but then there's the little tidbit that was revealed in the Pendulum chapters... there is no way to "step down." Retirement doesn't exist in soul society. Granted, that doesn't really apply to the title of Kenpachi, but it definitely applies to control over 11th squad. Thus, the only way for her to "step down" is in disgrace after a defeat in front of the squad. For her to lose control of one squad and take control of another, she would have to lose 11th by its rules then gain 4th by the rules of having bankai and being accepted, etc.
Also, it wouldn't make sense for Yamamoto to just allow her to change leadership on a whim. You don't fill one captain opening by creating another. Plus, she was a dangerous criminal, so allowing her to gain the loyalty of two squads worth of shinigami would make her much more likely to rebel successfully, should she decide to try. If he stopped training Kenpachi after one lesson in kendo because of what he might do once he was stronger, he certainly would have the same qualms about giving Unohana the same opportunity.

I think in that "near death experience" that Zaraki had: he was about to finally meet his Swords Soul, but he's scared for some reason. I mean with the way his sword is yeah I think he would be scared.
