(What would you do if you meet your favorite character?)

So what does the community think of multiple groups scanlating the same manga?
Multiple groups scanlating the same manga?
- Good for different standards (speed, quality...)
- Competition is always good
- One group should be enough
- They should just combine their efforts
- I don't care, just give me manga
I hope the options are clear enough (I tried to make them as short as possible)

what makes a manga stick?
-plot twists
-romance
-comedy
-violence
-good characters
-the art
-the mangaka
this can be edited and whatnot

I realised that manga and anime influence some of the choices that I make.
I use Timotei (Lucky Star - anime) and recently Microsoft flew out the window as I changed to an Ubuntu desktop (Ubunchu! - online manga).
So my poll suggestion is:
Do you let anime and/or manga influence your decisions?
- Yes
- No
- I don't "let" it, it just does

How do you (mainly) look for a new series to read?
- I explicitly ask for suggestions
- I see what others are reading/suggesting
- I pick series related to the ones I read (same mangaka, same magazine...)
- Search by genre
- Interesting ones from the 'New Releases' page.
- Kinda random
You may remove that last option, if you want a specifc answer.
