What an amazing chapter, my god. I wonder if Mono and Kin is going to regulars now..

And finally Aokiji coming back to kick Doflamingos ass. So sad that Smoker didn't put up a good fight though.

Indeed a great chapter. And well, Law's reactions are good even though they are a bit repetitive.
I am sure Doflamingo won't stand a chance against Aokiji. Maybe he would escape? Why is Aokiji there in the first place?

Not quite sure about that, I think Doflamingo's haki would privileged him enough a good fight and or the option to escape if he wants too.

But I like how the story is going, the pace has been picking up steam.

I know right, finally OP is pacing this shit up again! I really wonder what could've made Doflamingo cut up the marines like that. I just thought that Doflamingos powers was puppeteer-like.

Na, his abilities have been shown to be string based, he can probably decide whether the strings are sharp or not seeing as his strings have been shown to have the capabilities to ensnare someone, which he probably used to manipulate. Using those strings smoker really didn't have much of a chance, he would at the very least need his weapon in a better shape to deal with haki imbued strings which really counters his smoky abilities. On the side note I knew the shadow was Aokiji! Only he has the luxury to take a nap at sea without a ship,

He cut off the Big Giant's limp during the Whitebeard War.

Yeah that's basically the case, from the way I see it he's some sort of string or wire man. Though I'm disappointed at the level difference between Smoker and Donflamingo, I would have thought he would hold out a bit longer in a fight. But then again throughout this whole arc he's been trailing behind all the pirates in action so far. But the best thing about this chapter has to be Aoikiji's appearance, I really wonder what his plan of action is going to be this time around. We all know he quit the Marines cause of Akainu, so does this pose a suggestion he's going to go against the government in some form in the future?

I believe it's not because Doflamingo is better than Smoker, rather Doflamingos abilities is just much stronger vs smoker, the point point of Smokers abilities is that he is hard to catch, Doflamingos abilities enable him to catch Smoker faster since he has a wide range and we have no idea how many strings he can control.

so basically, it's bad matchup the same way Luffy was one for Enel. no

Well not comparable to Enel and Luffy since in their case it utterly dominated the other ability, but Enel actually could had won if he would had relied more on his haki and used heated gold/spear but he trusted to much in his ability and made a wrong last call plus the fact he knew nothing about rubber. Smoker and Doflamingo was just a bad compatibility, I would guess a wind based ability could dominate Smoker and repel the strings. However this is the factor I love about One Piece, there is no one ability that doesn't have one major weakness or ability that works well against them.

Well if that's the case it's much more bearable to deal with than him flat out being easily dominated. But you have to admit throughout this whole arc he has been a bit lackluster. I still feel there should've been a bit more improvement for the guy overall than what we've seen.

True, Smoker has been a bit disappointing this arc, I mean even Tashigi put up a fight, Smoker is just getting his ass kicked right and left.

Smoker just can't match up to the powerhouse characters here, but that doesn't mean he's a weakling. His character resembles Zenigata (from Lupin) now lol.

But I agree with the general consensus, awesome chapter! Oda packs so much story in one chapter.
