Manga with the fantasy creatures featured in the current poll?

Kami Member 1:29 am, Feb 10 2013 Posts: 38	Some of the creatures listed in the poll I already know about, such as Demon/Oni/Youkai - that's anything from Rosario to Vampire to World God Only Knows to many other manga. I've also seen various beasts, vampires, werewolves, Tengu, and even the occasional Kappa/Kitsune. But where would I find a manga featuring Phoenix or Garuda? I can't even think of any off the top of my head featuring Mermaids, Pegasus, or Unicorns. I'm sure there are manga featuring dragons and angels but can't think of any either, so could use suggestions here as well. And are there manga featuring elves beyond Ubel? I know there are a lot of separate questions in my post, so feel free to pick and choose which to answer. Too bad I know it's a really difficult manga to find in English and some volumes are fetched an astronomical price. Garuda I only heard Gaurda in Final Fantasy and similar stuff, in the "Book of Imaginary Beings" by Borges and in a book (don't remember which one) by Haruki Murakami. It's gonna be freaking hard to find a manga with a Garuda in it. Mermaids (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Mermaid They're more common. There are some mahou shoujo manga with them (i.e. Pichi Pichi Pitch). For something darker I know of Ningyo no Mori and Hekikai no AiON. For more there is the category tag. Pegasus (no category) As a center theme, nothing comes to mind. Do Saint Seiya count? Lol. Also Campione! (novel) has the Perseus character riding a Pegasus, but he's in two volumes only. I mentioned also 'cause there are more fantasy creatures so maybe you could be interested in trying that novel/manga. Unicorns (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Unicorn I only know Juuni Kokki which has a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QilinKirin, which is similar to an unicorn. Dragon (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Dragon%2 Fs A lot of stuff, so check the category. My personal choice: Corseltel no Ryuujutsushi. Angel (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Angel%2F s A freaking lot. You sure read some of them and just forgot. Check the category. My pick is Nephilim. Elves (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Elf%2FElves& Elf o Karu Monotachi is kind of popular in Italy, I don't know why because it sucks. The mangaka Tono seems to like mermaids a lot, such as in Coral - Tenohira no Umi or Karen no Fastener. Her other stories also have a lot of supernatural creatures, though I can't remember what they are off the top of my head. In terms of dragons, Ciel and Akatsuki no Yona have quite a few... For elves, maybe Kyoukai Senjou no Rinbo...? They're not really the focus of the manga though. Oh and PhD: Phantasy Degree, I guess, though it's been on indefinite hiatus for years. Angels... Bloody Cross, Baroque - Ketsuraku no Paradigm, Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist, Mukashi no Hanashi, R.I.P.... There is definitely a lot, so take your pick. Oh, and I know Demon Seiten also has some mythical creatures, such as the unicorn (and others). I can't remember exactly which they are, though.

Dragon drive and Kemono no souja for dragons (although kemono is more large aquatic dragon/reptile type creatures.) Affleim no kishi for elves. Crystal dragon for elves, fairies and unicorns. Orfina for unicorns...though its more of a deer with a horn... Fairy cube, Serei no moribito and Slop mansion ni okaeri for fairies. Mukashi no musashi and Haibane remmei for angels. Genjuu no seiza for a garuda.
