I'm looking for something that is incredibly tragic. I don't want any yaoi, yuri, shonen ai, shoujo ai, ecchi, hentai or smut. Sorry if this is a little bit vague or weird, and thanks for any and all suggestions!

Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan Seconding it. Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru Short but sweet, heartwarming and tragic...Highly reccomended. Hotel
----- Kagen no Tsuki Gunslinger Girl Melo Holic Sanctuary Not sure as it hardly looks any tragic but the ending just kills you. Ai ren Love Story, Killed
Not able to remember much as I am sleepy.....will post others afterwards.

Thanks so much for your help! I'm going to start on Hoshi no Koe; Omae ga Sekai o Kowashitai nara; Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan; Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru; Hotel; Kagen no Tsuki; Gunslinger Girl; Sanctuary; Ai-Ren; and Love Story, Killed. I've actually been reading Melo Holic in skips and jumps so I'll try to focus more on it than some other manga that I've been reading. Thanks again!

Can't believe no one has mentioned Bokurano. Basically anything written by Kitoh Mohiro has that element of tragedy.
Oh, and Tamashii no Futago, and basically anything by Mihara Mitsukazu.
And, maybe Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai and Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan: Totteoki no Uso for psychological tragedy.

I can only second Gunslinger Girl and Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru. Maybe I could add Shi ni Itaru Yamai since I find it more tragic than some other manga mentioned here (but I hardly find anything tragic). Also, just for reference in the case you're interested, Kaiba is the best and most tragic anime for me.

Luckily for me, I've just begun reading Bokurano, and I've already read Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan: Totteoki no Uso and Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai. Tamashii no Futago, Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai, Solanin, Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, and all that Deep Love stuff sounds good. I'll try watching Kaiba when I'm done with Code Geass. Thank you so much for all of your suggestions!
