What I'm looking for is something with a hero of some kind (in the broad sense of the term, they don't necessarily need to want to save the world or defeat evil or anything, but that could be a plus..) who drags a reluctant sidekick along for for their misadventures. The sidekick can be the actual hero of it, or be useless and require saving.. The hero can be helpful, or incompetent.. Heck, the "hero" can even be a villain trying to take over the world.
I guess it's more of a buddy comedy with one reluctant party/person I'm looking for?
I'd love for it to have comedy, action and adventure is a plus but not needed...

Honestly, as long as there's a plot, and a few volumes out for me to read I'll be happy finding anything like this..

I'm okay with pretty much anything, although I'd prefer a warning if it's yaoi or yuri.

Manga, manwhu, manhua, and light novels are fine. No animes though, since atm I can't watch any.. Don't ask.

Er.. Right, I think that's it. =x Sorry this is a mess, but I feel horrible right now.. No enough sleep.

himegimi to Sanbiki no kemono (adventure+ Comedy+ romance)
Akatsuki no Yona (adventure+ Comedy+ romance)
Trinity Blood (adventure+ action+ mystery(?)+ comedy)
The hell king is bored (comedy .. but doesnt really have a plot.. fits the 'hero' and reluctant side kick)
Sable Prince (adventure + action).. not really funny

Watashi no messiah sama-Well it doesn't entirely fit, because its more a reluctant hero and a side character that pulls him into adventure. Action, adventure and some comedy.

Kaede Taifuu-Not really adventure but is action and comedy. Reluctant main character.

In Devil survivor the mc's are very reluctant at first...dragged into it by a friend.

You could say one of the characters in Karneval was reluctant...

Hungry Joker fits with a girl acting as a the straiht man while the nutty scientist protagonist does SCIENCE, the shounen way.

I think Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro fits your description. The main character is a demon who likes to eat puzzles. He forces the main girl who is reluctant to become a detective and while he solves the mysteries, he acts like her assistant in the eye of the public in order to hide his true nature.

it's quite similar in term hero and the reluctant sidekick.......... the sidekick is really, really reluctant that almost annoying.
(and yes, i'm using the pic from those serial. they're from NDS game actually. why is the title included 'the animation' ? the anime will be airing next month, April 4th.)
