They better. Tournaments are a must in every action manga. Naruto did it(veeeery early on) and now it's one piece's turn. Tournaments show a "higher power" controlling things from behind the scenes that is either so much better than everyone else, or is made for the sake of capturing the MC. More likely than not, tournaments end during the semi finals, right before the fated battle between the MC (luffy) and the leader of the bad guys(donquixote), where donquixote probably destroys the mera mera or makes some guy eat it, in which luffy will go on a rampage, etc. this will definitely happen.

Well, I think it is a swordsman only tournament according to the mangapanda release but mangastream states it is gladiators, so they are mostly not allowed except for Brooks and Zoro if mangapanda is right, somehow I think Zoro will get lost trying to find his sword and enter the stadium by some miracle and take the place of some random dude or managed to get allowed to participate. Either that or Luffy will fight for the fruit.

I hate bad tls and mangastream isn't known for good tls either, guess we'll have to wait for mangarule or cnets tls to make it clear. Anyways hopefully we'll see some ass kicking in the tournament(probably by Zoro since he was drawn by getting his katana stolen) and we might also find the samurai guy as one of the fighters there, fighting for his freedom or smt....by the way, the words exchanged between the blind guy and luffy and the way he behaves in all of this feels like he is fujitora, not to mention that he is a bit too powerful to be Daffy's lackey or smt like that.
The big mystery for me now is who will get to eat the fruit even if any of the strawhats do get it who will eat it?? To be honest the one I see eating it the most is actualy Luffy himself since he is always hungry and he might do smt stupid like it eat coz of it(not knowing that it's the mera mera no mi) or even Usopp for that matter(god knows he needs a bit more assurance), tho the one that it would suit the best would be Sanji imo.

A few things i still don't understand, didn't donquixote step down from the king of dressrosa? I understand people call him young master because he is one, but for some reason, people are still calling him the king? And apparently this whole thing is still organized by donquixote even though he stepped down. It's kind of weird that everyone respects him so much imo.
I can see this fight being swordman related, as it does say the opponents are top class swordsmen, but nowhere do i see it say that the competition is limited to swordsmen...this might be a good chance for zoro to get a bounty at least half of luffy's.
Still don't have enough info about the fujitora like person. Though all we really know about fujitora is his name and position as either the last shichibukai or an admiral, the latter or which doesn't make sense in dressrosa.

I bet the blind guy is a former member of Roger's crew. And I also think he might end up with the Mera Mera no Mi. Whether he'll eat it or not is another story. He might give it away to someone or hold it until someone's ready to accept it or whatever reason.

Actually the fairies might be Absalom and them since IF for his reasons Doflamingo wanted to join with Moria(like he did with Crocodile) he might have escaped the eye of the marines where Doflamingo is, since the only one with the power of invisibility is Absalom unless there's a fruit with similar powers like the blind guys gravity power and Teach's darkness which is also gravity...
btw if you ask why I believe that they were invisible even tho Zoro saw his sword it was more like he felt the sword and saw it as such, since no one else saw the same.....
A few more things that have come to light with a tl from mangarule is that the guys who got caught by Franky were after the samurai of Wano not Zoro and it's actually gladiators not swordsmen so Luffy will probably fight there as well

seriously, i don't get it - why do people think that Luffy will go mad/ballistic/on a rampage/lose it etc because of Ace's devil fruit?
come on, it's been 2 years, he's matured and understands it's not something to lose your head about, he's well over(?) accepted or smt Ace's death, no reason for him to lose his mind over Ace's fruit
it's more like he'll get it cuz it's Ace's and to preserve his memory, stay loyal(?), ya know all that brother & nakama feelings/love. And so that it doesn't goes to the wrong person, hmmm...too bad Ace didn't have a kid, he could've inherited it and become the next pirate king after Luffy ^^
so, yeah, one/some of Strawhats will definitely enter but who? not so sure

heheh, I thought he was an admiral, tho it doesn't mean he's not Fujitora as well, I mean that might be his name but it would never cross my mind to check for old Japanese movie stars. Did you think of that and checked or did you find someone else's post in arlong park or somewhere else??

One of my theories is that Doflamingo created every "citizen" in Dressrosa and gave them life through his devil fruit abilities. Even though he stepped down, if he's essentially the creator of the place, then he probably has god-like status. Now, I don't know if I'm completely wrong on this or not, but it's just a theory.

That's a good theory, but i don't think it's right. I'm maybe 90% sure that doflamingo's fruit is the string string fruit. It explains how he can "walk on water", cut up smoker, control bellemy's henchman(like a marionette). It still kind of make sense that he can control the toys but i doubt he can control all of them. Besides this theory only works for the toys, not the actual people. Of course connections can be made from my theory and yours though.

It's pretty well known that the three admirals were based on old movie stars. Just check One Piece Encyclopedia.
I recognized Zatoichi right away, so I did a quick pic search and found the second pic on some Spanish fansite.
