The two series that I read that have this screw up are Kingdom of Zombie and Toki to Towa. Both of these series are listed under the "Alter Ego" when the protagonists have a split personalities. Could someone fix this, and/or list other series that have this tag mix up?

P.S. Also add the "Split Personality" tag to Elfen Lied.

The category tag 'Split Personality/s' is already there for Elfen Lied, but it's under the name 'Dissociative Identity Disorder.'

(The problem I have with this is that although 'Dissociative Identity Disorder' is apparently 'broader,' I think 'Split Personality/s' is more common of a term. Which is why I see a lot of people get confused and end up looking for or missing out on 'Split Personality/s' series because most of them are under a less used term.
I think it would be nice to have a short definition for each Category Term like what they have under Genres to create clearer differeation, or at least alternate-related Category Tags that are linked together. Just a suggestion. roll )

I think this feature should be added as well, but also have it so that a lot of these terms can be grouped together in one category instead of having 20+ categories about similar but different terms. That would really help me to not see some of those obscure sex catergories (did I really need to see "urethral play" and "urination" right above the "vampire hunter" category).

Alter Ego is nothing persona created by the person to act differently that what he/she normally acts. They are well aware of what they do in their alter ego persona. Most often the case they are disguised in their alter ego persona becase some of the stuff they do can really get them in trouble. Real life example is Andy Kaufman and his alter ego persona is Tony Clifton.

Split personality is different. It is also known as dissasociative identity disorder. Personality is not created it is kind of a mental disorder. Both personalities are not aware of what the other personality does or have any control over it. But study on it is still skeptical. Its exists but there are alot of stories written where the original personality is aware of what the 2nd personality does but has no control of it which is also another possible form of split personality.

If that's the way it is, then why is there two different categories for the same exact definition?

Split personality is the common term for it, Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID) is the medical or technical term. There are different reasons to promote one term's use over the other on this site; those with a medical/psychiatric/whatever background would say DID is the most accurate term for it, but others may argue that the term is not familiar to many people and would just cause confusion, so it's better to use "split personality" which more people are familiar with. Due to the differing opinions, both terms have been used as tags.

Ideally the mods would agree which would be better and make it a policy, forbidding the other from being used, and if anyone does attempt to use it, they'll be directed to use the one the mods endorse instead.

Another problem I have is how tags like 'Strong Female Lead' keep being used on series without differentiating whether they are 'Emotionally Strong' or 'Physically Strong' Female Leads, despite there already being existing tags available. Same goes for 'Strong Male Lead,' 'Weak Female Lead' and 'Weak Male Lead.' I think this just ends up confusing and turning away new readers to series because they misunderstand the tag meanings.
