Hi! So I want recommendation with this kind of heroine:

~observer, calm.
~honest, emotionally strong
~shy or rather that doesn't talk because she is very observer.

A good example will be Akuma to Love Song Maria is honest, emotionally strong, perceptive and very observer and she can see the true nature of people.

And Koi dano Ai dano Kanoko is very observer and emotionally strong, when she talks is clearly shows how much she knows about everyone else.

It will be good that when the heroine talks, she shows how much she knows about everyone else.

Thank you! I know I'm asking a lot shy

I don't know that it's really fit or not, but, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, the heroine is really calm and her emotionally strong, but she's not observe like Kanoko. Last Game, Fetish Berry (she's observer enough). Hope it can help you a bit biggrin

Akatsuki no Yona

I was just reading this today when i felt wowed by the heroine.

She's not that quiet, but not excessively noisy. And her strength and growth are beautifully done and amazingly real.

The type of protagonist you're looking for is actually pretty rare no matter what genre you're looking at. You know what, I'm going to recommend 1 Shoujo, 1 Josei and 1 Seinen-that-feels-a-lot-like-a-shoujo:

Akagami no Shirayukihime.
The Tarot Cafe : The protagonist is a fortune teller.
xxxHoLic : Yuuko should quite fit what you're looking for.

I'll also make a tangent rec: Iris Zero . Again, this is Seinen, and the protagonist with the qualities you are looking for is actually Male. But again, this series reads like a lot like a Shoujo.

Since most aren't exactly what you're looking for, you can just skip them if you don't find them interesting. smile

Just going to throw this one out there. Not really sure if it will be exactly what you are looking for (she might be too talkative biggrin ) but I guess Kaibutsu Oujos Hime might fit...

Edit: NOT a shoujo though. My bad, didn't read your topic/post that thouroughly I guess roll eyes . Info says shounen but I think more like seinen... Still an awesome manga though.

I highly recommend Cheese in the Trap (josei). Sul fits that description perfectly.

Lena from Saver. She's good at fighting, but actually capable of thinking and does not go out of her way to save everyone. (I dislike overly idealistic characters). Very calm, even in tense moments and doesn't talk much.

I should mention that the "real" story doesn't begin until volume 2. Volume 1 sort of sets up the Lena's background/motivation... you can probably skip it without too much gaps, though I don't recommend it. It adds a lot of character depth.
