Uhm...that didn't seem like a climax-to-the-past-arc!!!

Disappointed, dissatisfied dead

What climax? There are still few chapters left. Don't trust the color page....they always says the same stuff.

I am liking both the developments and pace of this arc. Probably the best arc in the last 200 chapters.

I think Uryu's mother might be that maid katagiri. The way she and Ryuken looked at each other in the kitchen. Furthermore, she has black hair...obvious enough. She loves Ryuken, but her quincy bloodline isn't pure enough so she's jealous of masaki

Now it's just getting weird. Was this something that the hollow did to her, or something that Aizen & Co. did to her? And, what will the choice that Urahara gives them? That's what I can't figure out.

The hollow that attacked them before was made based on a shinigami's soul, and it looks like it blew itself up. But then when you see Urahara in 533, he definitely notices something about Masaki, so I guess it must have been that "infection" she has. But can a human be turned into a hollow?

Urahara, being the genius that he is, seems to know exactly what is happening, but everyone else is pretty much confused, as us readers are as well. There's still so much that has to be revealed about he connection between Aizen, that hollow, Ryuuken, Urahara, etc etc etc.

Ehh it wasn't that bad i think. I'm going to guess something that I'm pretty sure Isshin will choose. Kisuke will say that isshin can give his life source to masaki. By giving that life force away, isshin will lose all his shinigami powers. It makes sense considering what's happened and what will happen later on as well. And also explains the roughly 20 year delay from this scene until the actual rebellion of aizen. Since the process could be reversed somehow, aizen wanted to perfect it more.

Me think Uryuu and Isshin will both give up something to save her.

Ryuuken will give up his dream of a pure quincy bloodline. I would guess that as a result of this, she will lose her powers as a quincy. but, apparently not her ability to pass on her quincy powers to her offspring.

Now question is: where did she go after she died? Shouldn't she end up going to soul society? Or do those killed by hollows have their souls absorbed? What happened to all of the quincies that have died in the past?

I would say technically yes, because a human soul that gets eaten by a hollow becomes a hollow. Whether a living human can be changed into a hollow is less clear -- Orihime got bitten by her brother, and even though she was in soul form at the time, she still didn't change, but Masaki gets bitten by a hollow in full human form and she starts to turn. I would expect there to be an explanation like "Quincies are more responsive to the spirit world" or some nonsense like that to justify the change. It could also be that Orihime's brother was not created by Aizen, and that the process of forcing someone to become a hollow makes them "contagious" as it were. I assume we'll find out in the coming chapters.

It's hard to say that he noticed the "infection" in her. It could just be that she acknowledged his existence. Not very many humans can see ghosts, despite the incredible number that have developed the ability over the course of the story. I'd imagine that on the whole, when a shinigami bumps into a human on the street, they don't apologize to the air around them...

Also, I got the impression from her friends' comments that they didn't see Urahara there.

That is a question I've had for a long time. Based on the fight between Uryu and Mayuri, the Quincy seem to go to soul society, where they are immediately noticed as such. But now we have this whole huge group of them which seem to have their own realm outside of both soul society and hueco mundo. And it wouldn't make any sense at all for them to simply remain on earth, because they would have the chains that degrade over time and turn them into hollows. It was said early on that Quincies hate hollows because their family members were killed by hollows, so I can't see them allowing themselves to become hollows after death.
