Since I'm a guy, not really... the romance is way too angsty for me.

You mean sappy, not angsty. It drives me nuts when I see that word used in the wrong context based on modern misconceptions of angst.

no I do mean angsty,
Angst or anguish is a Germanic word for fear or anxiety. It is used in English to describe an intense feeling of emotional strife. (from wiki)
And if you've ever read the book, then you'd realize that Edward feels a LOT of emotional strife being with Bella.

I agree that it's not sappy, but I don't think I'd choose angsty... regardless, their relationship, especially the way he treats her, makes most manga couples look... well, normal. And she makes a lot of stupid heroines look smarter. Or so I think. But they picked so badly for the movie!!

...But if I had to choose between the two, I have to go with angsty. Or an attempt at angsty.

A different but related meaning is used by existentialists, first attributed to Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard (1813–1855). In The Concept of Dread (also known as "The Concept of Anxiety", depending on the translation), Kierkegaard used the word Angest (Danish, meaning "dread") to describe a profound and deep-seated spiritual condition of insecurity and despair in the free human being. Where the animal is a slave to its instincts but always confident in its own actions, Kierkegaard believed that the freedom given to mankind leaves the human in a constant fear of failing its responsibilities to God. Kierkegaard's concept of angst is considered to be an important stepping stone for 20th-century existentialism. While Kierkegaard's feeling of angst is fear of actual responsibility to God, in modern use, angst was broadened by the later existentialists to include general frustration associated with the conflict between actual responsibilities to self, one's principles, and others (possibly including God). Martin Heidegger used the term in a slightly different way.

This is what I was referring to as the definition of angst.

In Contemporary english usage, it has been used to describe what I would classify as sappy. And I use sappy for lack of a better word, because angst does not fit in that sense, as it is a far stronger word with heavier implications.

Cool, now we can get back on topic, I loved how the girl in Code Geass absolutely flipped out when Euphie died, hence she's my avatar.

New one is based off of Stephenie Meyer's new book, The Host.

Because it's me, and it's amusing to see people freak out over Photoshopped blood and "slit" wrists.

Those're scissors if you can't tell. LOL.

It's from the Code Geass game. I have this avatar because I find it very funny and disturbing at the sometime. I don't know why the creators did that to Lelouch. There is one of Suzuka too and it's much worse I don't think I can look at him in the same way anymore.

Because I have precious few avatar's saved on my computer and was in a rush and so clicked the only half decent one I have. It's Kira from Angel Sanctuary which is one of my fav manga. I have a few Light ones from Death Note but their dull since I used them for my RPG character so needed plain ones. Will go avatar searching one day. sometime.

EDIT: Found a cool Lelouch one, him being my fav charry ever so had to use it. Findign it served a good procrastination device as well which I will regret in my exam tomorrow, lol.
