They both have a medieval feel to them, and because some people have m4s tanks and helicopters, they are treated like celestial beings.

I am curious about it as well because I love these two series as well and I think that this setting along with this twist is interesting.

Not sure where you're getting the "celestial beings" thing, seems a really obtuse way to put it. From what I can tell all you're looking for it a setup where our current technology is seen as magic/strange power because it's so far removed from other characters' understanding.

in JSDF the military helicopters are looked upon as valkyries

Oda Nobuna no Yabou - mc is from future with knowledge of past, so he acts kind of as an strategist/advisor but not really "celestial being"
only few chapter out and dont know whe new will come so you should check out the anime.
Ore ga Heroine o Tasukesugite Sekai ga Little Mokushiroku!? - maybe, last story defintily (mc was sent to some knid of middleage type world and he had really advanced technology and fought a dragon...), but dont know what will happen in future and what kind of worlds he will visit

Tadashii Kodomo no Tsukurikata! - maybe, but mc isnt the one with the high technology

(anime->)Suisei no Gargantia - there is also manga but it hasnt been scanlated yet, but I highly recommend the anime. Its my favorite anime of this season.

I was under the impression celestial beings were considered heavenly beings, that transcends peoples understanding... Was it the wrong word? I was thinking Norse Valkyries in terms of beings like this

God pretender fits this rather well I think, it has the majority of the world as sort of medieval/three kingdoms kind of era with swords and old style weapons and the such but then it just introduces more and more random stuff until you even get tribes in UFO's XD.

I guess this works, lol, I was thinking more of if people that were normal were considered this... I'll pass this over to my friend he may like it-- he loves slice of life, ty
