Hey! So I'm really reading a lot at the moment but im still missing something with a strong female lead. Some female lead thats kinda overpowered (doesn't have to) and has a likeable/strong character.
I hope you can help me with this cause i have not seen many mangas that fit the description. Can also be a male lead and a female side-lead(dunno what else to call this. Im talking about like 2 main characters 1 female and one male).

Pros:
- Special abilities like magic or strong sword skills
- good plot/story
- More than 20 chapters released
- Cool/Badass antagonist

Cons:
- Boring plot
- Characters that whine a lot
- Strange ideals (like a guy who wont do some sort of thing for some wierd reason)

As allways thanks in advance for your help.

Try out Girls of the Wild's, plenty of girls kicking ass in that series.
Maybe Teppuu, there are only 18 chapters scanlated but they're double length chapters (50+pages)

1/2 Prince
Noblesse Female lead is strong & unique , but She's not the main focus >.< It's a good series though <3

Seconding Teppu but it's a sports manga so no magic or sword.

I recommend Sengoku Strays. It's a Sengoku era time travel manga, but unlike most, Kasane (the main character) is no damsel-in-distress. She's a kendo pro, her sword skills don't lose out to Oda Nobunaga's vassals at all. I think she's really awesome, hope you like it too!

Medaka Box. Medaka has the ability to copy any other superpower that she is even told about and use it better than the original power user is able to. And most people think that Kumagawa is a cool/badass antagonist.

Oh and a later antagonist is a woman who has 12,858,051,967,633,865 separate superpowers.

Change 2/W Change!!

Probably fits but the MC has a split personality and her other half is quite a crybaby. But it's a good manga nonetheless.

Hands down, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden. THE best female lead and you'll also be pleasantly surprise.

Kamisama Hajimemashita is a very good example too smile

I second Spice and Wolf by HASEKURA Isuna/ AYAKURA Juu and KOUME Keito and Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - "Kono Watashi no Mono Tonare, Yuusha yo" "Kotowaru!" by TOUNO Mamare/ ISHIDA Akira, but you've probably already peeked into these two, right?

Other fitting overwhelmingly strong female characters are featured in the following series:

Shakugan no Shana by TAKAHASHI Yashichirou/ SASAKURA Ayato
Entertaining manga and anime adaption. The male lead is a bit weak in the beginning but with the guidance of our "Shut up and do it already!"-heroine, he soon develops into a badass protagonist - and more.

Dance in The Vampire Bund by TAMAKI Nozomu
Don't let her appearance fool you! The female lead can be a real vamp wink

Full Metal Panic! Σ by GATOU Shouji/ Shikidouji and UEDA Hiroshi. The heroine is the only one who manages to beat up our war-obsessed main character. Beware of her Paper Fan of Doom! Plus, there are plenty of creepy antagonists. I highly recommend to watch the anime adaption (2 seasons + 1 spin-off) first.

Superior and its sequel Superior † by Ichtys
Intriguing plot line. The twist: The female lead is both the hero's magic using companion and the badass antagonist.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime by Type-Moon/ SASAKI Shounen
She may not have that much screen time but when she does, the female lead leaves a swath of destruction.

Elfen Lied by OKAMOTO Lynn
Watch the first few minutes of the anime, and you'll witness the female leads "strength" *shudders*

Gokukoku no Brynhildr also by OKAMOTO Lynn
Multiple girls stuck with overbearing powers. And great power always comes with a (cruel) price.

P.A. by AKAISHI Michiyo
The protagonist's specialisation falls a bit out of the common line for all-rounder heroines. Nontheless, she is a witty combination of an actress and a Private-Eye.

Nazo no Kanojo X by UESHIBA Riichi
Slice of school life featuring an odd female lead with equally odd, yet fearsome paper cutting skills.

Sayonara Football by ARAKAWA Naoshi
The heroine might not be overwhelmingly skilled, but she compensates her physical disadvantages with the determination of someone who has nothing to lose.

Hiiro no Isu by MIDORIKAWA Yuki
A difficult one. It moved me in some way, but I still don't know how to describe its aftertaste. Read it for yourself.

Othello. by IKEZAWA Satomi
For half of the time, the female protagonist is a sharp-tongued rocker girl.

Yandere Kanojo by Shinobi
Well, "yankee" + "-dere", the title says it all.

Max Lovely! by KURAHASHI Erika
Strong Shoujo-ish protagonist. For light-hearted amusement only.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! by FUJIWARA Hiro
You could try it. The heroine starts off as a ferocious student council president but, sadly, looses some of her vigour over the course of the series.
