Here's my recommendations:
Kiseijuu
Toshiue no Hito
IO
Boku no Futatsu no Tsubasa

I think Kiseijuu/Parasyte has gotten pretty popular lately, and I don't know about Toshiue no Hito, but I never hear anyone talk about it... I loved IO, but I know a lot of people dislike it (or rather; doesn't give it a chance).

Boku no Futatsu no Tsubasa, it has a VERY weird storyline, and I normally have a negative opinion about "hermaphrodites" fantasies, but for some reason, I found the plot hilarious. though, I gave it a 9 out of 10 because of the ending (most of his mangas ends really weird or stupid, so I suppose I had it comming anyway).

Ahh, and yeah, Psychometrer Eiji, but that one has already been mentioned smile

Violinist of Hameln by far. It's a mystery of mankind as to how few people read it. It's a manga where jokes still keep you laughing a year after reading it, it's 37 volumes long, has good fights, weirdest costumes you'll ever see, giant pianos, violins, talking dogs, 5 meters-long scythes, lots and lots of references to classical music, full chapters of absolute crack, and eating while reading is the most dangerous thing that can happen while reading manga.
And it's currently scanslated up until vol 32, has by far the best scanslation group I even saw (beat weekly releases for about three years eyes ) and it just got a sequel in january this year.

What's not to like?

Full Metal Alchemist for me. Great storyline. Great characters. Great art. Basically, overall, great. No, even better than great.

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Although I don't wonder why it doesn't make top 10s... It's too good. :-) No, seriously, it's just an entirely different type of entertainment (I use the word with doubt) that what most of the manga world offers. Not to dish out on the other mangas, my own favorite list is actually quite long, but well, YKK is really something else.

^^wasn't YKK #2 or so for quite awhile on dailymanga.org's most popular mangas? 0_o..
Which reminds me of another really good manga-Aqua. Not too sure about Aria but Aqua was...so simple it was brilliant smile

Holyland this gotta be on my topp 5 list, the story is told in a way i have never seen in a manga before, in my opinion it is how a good manga should be...I only wish the scanlations would go a bit faster, cause this is gold

Eden

Dark and epic. I only got into it the 2nd time I tried it. 1st time I got bored. I didn't realize how much the story changes until I gave it another chance.

1st volume is a prologue and is more about the main character's parents x # of years before the main character is born.

Then starting from the 2nd volume, the (real) story of the main character begins. At first, the story's kinda slow and isolated, but soon enough, once things begin to happen, you get sucked into the dark and gritty world of Eden. From volume 2 to the currently scanlated volume, I think there's a span of around 10 years, hence epic. A lot of characters die too. In the dark and gritty of Eden, just about anyone is fair game.

Kind of a shame it gets scanlated so slowly now though. It's such a great series =\ Deserves more attention.

Kirarin Revolution.

I love the anime version so I thought I would be interested in the manga as well. When I did, oh, boy.....I really do love it. I absolutely love the story, characters and the art (it's irresistibly cute); it's already becoming one of my favorites. biggrin It's currently in 11 volumes, so I might buy the rest of them to see how it goes.
