Assuming you're currently reading the manga, when do you think it'll finally come to an end?

Don't get me wrong, I'm so in love with One Piece and I've been reading it for years... But sometimes I'm like This is gonna end when I turn 30-smthn and I'm 22 now... So, yeah.

Take a wild guess smile wink grin Two years? Six? Twelve? LOL

Doesn't seem like it'll happen for a while. There's still all four warlords and the marine leaders to fight, along with Joker and the like. So many more possible enemies and the story progresses at a snails pace. I'd say around a decade if Shueisha will allow it to stay that long.

At the end of the Punk Hazard arc, Oda gave an interview in which he said that the story is at approx 60% (if you can speak French http://mfteam.fr/eiichiro-oda-one-piece-est-a-60/). So if we guess based on that statement, the story should still last 10-13 years.

Haha, I don't mind Naruto and Bleach ending. But if Oda-sensei for some reason announced that One Piece was ending... it would feel way too abrupt and it would make me so freaking sad.

Like YundiLi and Kaitentsuki said, it feels as if we're just halfway there and that there's so much more to explore, many enemies to reveal and defeat and stronger rivals to show up.
I mean come on, Nico, Sanji and Zoro haven't realised their goals, we need to see more of Dragon and the will of D. and also the fated meeting with Shanks....

60% is even too much in my opinion biggrin

I'm 23 now, I don't want it continuing whilst i'm in my 30's, but I do hope that it'll be an epic story from start to finish.

In the end, I'd wager 3 or 5 years bigrazz

Well, i WANT it to end in 7-8 years, which would be more or less 100-105 volumes. But honestly, i think Oda will stretch it around another 12 years or so. It's frightening to think this may and when i'm in my 30's, being that i'm just 16 now.

And i'm too excited to see the end. With that many things building up, it will definitely be epic.

Judging by what point in the story it is currently in, it can probably go on for 12 more years.
Each "Saga" takes about 3-4yrs to wrap up... The Dressrosa Arc will probably go on for 6-8 more months, after which there should be the Kaidou Arc, which will probably take about 1-1,5yrs. Law might leave the alliance then - he might not want to fight with Big Mom just yet, and we all know that Luffy already picked a fight with her.
There should be also some conflict with the other Supernovas, with the Marines, with Blackbeard, finding out about the Void age, etc. And there must be some 'fillers' inbetween.

Even though it is my favorite series, I'd like it to end in about 8-10 years.

I'm gonna read One Piece together with my son in the future. Not bad.

Since the "half way" point was around 500's, I'd venture 1100 chapters
