Looking for a shoujo with a strong heroine

I'm tired of manga where the heroine is stupid, annoying, cries a lot...etc. I've found I can tolerate any heroine as long as she doesn't fall in love first, since once they do they become pathetic and do stupid things to get the guy to like them. Skip Beat! and Tokyo Crazy Paradise are my favorites; I like H20, Cat Street, and Peter Panda as well.

Comedies, gender benders, nice art, love rivals (but not female love rivals), are just added bonuses, but there's probably not very many shoujo with all that. So the bare minimum I'm looking for is the girl doesn't fall in love first... hopefully that's not too much to ask for. smile

Kaze Hikaru has a strong heroine and gender bending ^^
And, Akuma to Love Song so far is going well in the strong heroine department too
Also, you might like Diamond Head by Mizushiro Setona.
Have you tried Kare Kano?

The already mentioned You are So Cool is pretty funny. Also, speaking of manwha, The Kidnapping of Minja Jo's Boyfriend is good (girl power, baby XD) .

Anatolia Story-I'm still halfway through and it's really good. Well, she does somehow fall in love first but it's far from the typical bad teeth-inducing love.
And what was the last time you saw a manga that was relatively historicaly accurate and had a heroine that had no uber superpowers but was capable of leading an entire war?(and winning it nonetheless).
Also for a unique heroine, try Bara no tameni. Yuri is an extremely relate-able character ,although pretty cliche in everything (tho i admit only reading the first two volumes ^_^'')

Oops, my mistake. Fixed. Check out the announcement section, it should be the first thing there.
