I dont mean specifically being turned into a monster from a curse, but more like girl meets hot guy with a terrible personality, he falls in love with her and she changes his personality for the better.
Where a handsome guy is used to being fawned over by people, and the main character disregards his looks to instead just hate him because hes a jerk.

Like in The Prince's Cactus.
There's others, but i cannot remember their names at the moment...

I would like any genre that has a good story please biggrin
(Shoujo/josei/yaoi) but not yuri.

If you have any suggestions then please tell me of them!
I will love you forever~ (yes, in a creepy way) laugh

There's this series named Beauty is the Beast by MATSUMOTO Tomo. It revolves around a quirky high school girl - she reminded me of Nodame from Nodame Cantabile which might fit as well - who moves into a girls' dorm just to find out that her first task as a new tenant is to sneak into the boys' dorm to steal the name plate of the infamous Wanibuchi without being caught. After this incident a strange relationship between the two of them starts to form...
The female lead does not hate him and the male lead is not exactly popular, but as he is somewhat of a self-confident lone wolf people only view him as a troublemaker who refuses to go at any other but his own pace. She is the one who brings out his good points - I don't want to spoil the manga here - and makes him open up.
The mangaka's other series should work, too, particularly Kiss whose male lead is similarily cold and arrogant but has a soft spot for his lover.

The already mentioned Nodame Cantabile by NINOMIYA Tomoko matches your request even better. The male lead is known as a skilled pianist at his college and he is well aware of his own talent. Other musical students admire him, especially the ladies, but he is also a choleric character people avoid working with because of his perfectionistic streak. The manga's heroine somehow creeps into his life when she moves into the apartment next to his and they start taking lessons by the same professor. Slowly, her presence turns his life upside down, and he is forced to re-evaluate certain things.

I'll add some more later.

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - Well, this might be what you are looking for- unpopular kind girl falls in love with very handsome guy, but it turns out that his personality is really evil. He doesn't really change, but reveals some of his good sides to her during their relationship. laugh The story is sweet and funny and the plot so far is really good. eyes

There should be many stories like that out there, so after searching through my lists I came up with those for now:

Cheese in the Trap - A webcomic. The male main characters are quite different from the way the might appear at first, while the female counterpart is pretty soon starting to see through the acts they put off in front of others. Kkk. If you haven't tried this one, then I recommend it without hesitation, because of the thrilling atmosphere and plot development, even though some say it starts of slow. Well, though for me the pace is just right and you can see a nice setting of characters having influence on each others behaviour (sometimes without even noticing). ^^

Adekan - Not only the drawing style might get you, but also the interesting stories being placed within and the funny moments, that show up every now and then to lighten up the mood again. It's not a romantic relationship between the characters, that awaits you in this, but surely you will see a few pretty dark sides shining through (Not only within the main characters personality, but also among others) and need to be faced by the counterpart. For me, the whole storyline is well-balanced and never loses the focus on the main events or the heavy feel of the things happening.

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - To be honest, in my eyes the personality of Kyouya (the male lead) isn't really all that sadistic and it's more like his point of view is rather mature, considering his teenage age, but some may say otherwise. That's why, you can try this one, too. And - The sadistic lines he throws made smile, just like the way his twisted grin is expressed by HATTA Ayuko.

Oresama Teacher - A shoujo, which comes up with lots of quirky characters and therefore many weird secrets hidden by them. To sum it up it's a fun and light read with quite a few personalities, that made others turn into beasts out of the blue or brining pthers to cover up their true nature at first.

U Don't Know Me, a manhwa, Itoshii Akuma and Akuma wa Hohoemu - Yaoi.
As for the characters in this, you will surely get your beauty and beast scenario. And - Probably to a shocking level at times, since the characters tend to be somewhat overbearing with their affection and like to go over the top in almost everything they do or represent to others.

You could try Shinigamihime no Saikon. This seems much like a Blackbeard-esque sort of story and one of my personal favorites. Everyone has their own opinions, but I swear I drowned in this art, it was so incredible to me. I tend to prefer historicals historicalswith this type of story, so there ya go. bigrazz

Last Game guy has a terrible personality but he falls for a plain girl like in the case of Special A if you have read it. I like Last Game better though so far

Full House an actor falls for a scriptwriter. She's funny and later in Full House II, it was revealed that he changed a lot. Like for examples, someone said the guy won't drink his coffee if no one put sugar in it but the main girl said, "Oh really... but he's always the one who put sugar on our coffee." And also, before, he always the one who cut the call but the main girl said he never did that to her.

Kirai typical playboy falls for a plain girl

second Kiss and Nodame Cantabile although it's not exactly what you requested.
MATSUMOTO Tomo's other works are also great. She's one of my favorite mangaka

Cheese in the Trap is also amazing but as for a change in his personality is something that we have to wait. OMG... the suspense is amazing these days eek I can't stop reading and although the art may be a major turn off for those who like it pretty, the story compensate twofolds for what it lacks on the art department XD

Like I promised, here is the rest of my suggestions:

Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi by KABEI Yukako/ TAKARAI Rihito
A solitary artist who is caught up in his own past. Once the promising young talent in portraying people, he has come to refuse most human contact, his cousin being the only exception. So when said cousin brings a girl to him to use as a model, his life changes gradually. The model, our female lead, is far from what he had imagined and digs up all the memories that he tried to bury deep inside his heart. Her stubbornness and lifeliness is what leads him back to life.

RYAN's Ingènuo
Chasing after a 15-year-older womanising star photographer is more than a challenging task, particularly when he has a violent, dishonest personality. He refuses human warmth and closeness due to some harsh personal experiences. When the female lead still sneaks into his unprepared heart, long-winded drama ensues.

The male lead in Orange Marmalade by Seok Woo fits your description perfectly: Arrogant, popular, selfish, inconsiderate and misogynic - five traits that apply to our love-interest in question. At the beginning, he and the heroine aren't aware of each other at all. She is a reclusive vampire girl who has to hide her true nature from society, elsewise she would be targeted as a "monster", so she has no personal interest in him whatsoever. And he is the cold school prince everyone admires from afar. Only when a certain incident rouses his interest and he starts pursuing her out of curiosity, they become mutually attracted to each other. The male lead's personality change is still in progress.

The type of male lead you encounter in SOURYO Fuyumi's ES differs from your ususual intolerable cool beauty. As a genetically altered person he is incapable of empathising with inferior beings like humans. In fact he doesn't really care for their emotions as long as his needs are fulfilled. He may prevent evil now and then but only when he feels like it. The female lead is the only one who can get through to him as a person, and thanks to her influence, he starts to comprehend love and human nature eventually.

The One by LEE Nicky
A highly dramatic ride that follows two people in the fashion industry as their lives unexpectedly intertwine. The male lead is a ruthless fashion photographer who is willing to do anything for his loved ones but doesn't know how embrace himself. His unpredictability and partial indecisiveness endanger himself and those around him. Through a fateful encounter he meets the woman who will become his pillar of support and who will guide him in his efforts to confront the demons in his life.
The main couple maintains an alternatingly hot and cold relationship for most of the time.

TOMA Rei's Reimei no Arcana
Your usual brute of a prince who only knows how to insult and discriminate against his red-haired wife. When the lead characters of this series are brought together in an political marriage, they hate each other's guts and repeatedly threaten to kill one another. But after the female lead stands in for him unexpectedly, he begins to look at her with different eyes. His love for the female lead changes his racist attitude towards people with different origins and makes him engages in politics for her sake.

Akuma de Sourou by TAKANASHI Mitsuba
The worst kind of bratty delinquent step-brother you can get: foul-mouthed, demanding, infamous, yet popular with the ladies. He comes across as a cold, uncaring person but under his tough shell he hides his sensitive boyish side. The female lead who can't stand him at first manages to crack up his front eventually, and with her support he works out what he really wants.

Emura's Grand Sun
Wilful and conceited prodigy and heir to a large company who likes to pigeonhole anyone he meets. The same goes for the newest bodyguard he has hired, our heroine. Luckily, she doesn't bow her head to people easily and definitely not to some brat who tries to tell her how to do her job. So thanks their constant arguments, he gradually learns to see behind the curtain and judge the people around him differently.

3D Kanojo Main character is otaku boy and he falls in love with popular girl... It's a shoujo. Cute shoujo, even if it sounds like seinen.
