NO YAOI!

Basically, non-random stuff. There's a reason behind every detail, and it all ties together in the end. There's no coincidence, nothing like for some reason that a famous actor in fact has sixth sense, or some random girl has the eyes that can tell apart talent in a glance. Nothing that makes you go "WHY THE HECK!?", or make you think the author ran out of things to write.

I want a properly planned plot that holds a meaning. The only thing random should be how the author came up with that plot. If possible, it'll be nice if even the names have some meaning, but that's asking for too much so it's not required. Basically, it has to all make sense, and fall together like a puzzle in the end. Whether it seems completely random at first, it doesn't matter much. Actually, it'll be nice if at the starts random, but later discovered it's actually not.

Another way to say is I want a significant past, one that plays a big role in the plot. Whatever happens, it circles back in the end. For ppl who read Where the Red Fern Grows, that's the feeling I want. Only, that one only applies to the title, whereas I want the plot.

As for examples... sorry for the lack of it. Kinda just felt the sudden urge to read one, so don't have a perfect example.

Kill No More would fit, but considering the manhua only has one volume out, unless you read the novel it wouldn't make sense.

Zetsuen no Tempest also fits, I think. Not completely and probably not as well as Kill No More (even though it's better...), but yes, it fits well with all the backwards time-travel influence and stuff.

Eden no Ori fits a TINY bit. Although the end and the start were tied together, but WHY!? They never explained the reason, and it's only like the last chapter. Honestly, it's the concept that fits, the manga doesn't fit at all.

This is all just from memory that's a bit blurry though!

How I see it, I think of mangas as two types. It's either character-oriented or it's plot-oriented. Character ones tend to circle around the main char. It may or may not develop a plot later on, but the general idea is the author has a set character in mind before he wrote the story, and that char will most definitely succeed. Sports manga tend to be these, and a lot of average, mediocre manga too. Pro is that you wouldn't get frustrated over the author bullying the main char, and they're better suited than plot ones for reading while it's still ongoing. Con is that they don't leave as deep an impression. As for plot, it's the opposite. Everything is decided and planned ahead of time. They write according to the plot, and not writing the plot along the way. The authors already decided on how they'll end the story, and wrote backwards, with foreshadows and stuff.
It's not to say character ones are bad, but more likely than not, they wouldn't leave you feeling all satisfied and complete after finishing it. And... since they require less skill, there's more manga that sucks than plot ones. ANYWAYS! This is just how I sort mangas, just personal opinion!

I'm mainly looking for completed mangas, if possible fully scanlated. I wouldn't mind if I can find complete raws online though, if it's manga or manhua. Well, if it's nearing the end and regularly released, that's fine too. I'll take Chinese Novels too, if it's HK or TW ones, nothing PRC though. Please RAWS for these! Of course, anime are okay, so are jdramas too.

As for manhwa... that's fine too this one time, although I have my doubts whether there's any that'll fit. Manhwas, as I see it, tend to have original, and possibly interesting settings. But problem is, that's all they have. The plot falls half way through. Anyways, I won't take anything Hwang Mi-Ri, and nothing webcomics either. And, I can't read Korean so no raws please.

From personal, and a bit biased experience, I find that novels tend to be better planned than manhuas and manhwas, which are a lot of times, random. Mangas are in between, with mediocre ones and absolutely awesome ones.

Since you specifically mentioned ZnT yourself, I would recommend Shirodaira Kyou's other stuff, particularly Spiral and Vampire Juujikai, especially the former.

Oh, and Kagerou Nostalgia fits pretty well too, I think.

Spiral... I need to go read it. I watched the anime quite a long time back, probably started reading the manga too. Blame my laziness that I haven't gotten around to it yet. From what memory left, it probably fits. I already completed Vampire Juuji Kai, and yes I suppose it fits. Honestly, I didn't know up til now they had the same authors! o.o Never came across me since the art was done by different ppl. Will go read Kagerou Nostalgia, thanks!

Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku is exemplary in terms of intricate plot construction. It's completed and completely scanlated.

if you wan't plot pieces fitting in together later, i'd recommend Tower of God even though it's a manhwa and a webcomic. it just feels like the something you'd like to read based on your description. it's very well planned. also, the "reason behind everything" reminds me of adachi mitsuru type of writing so try Cross Game.

Mahou Sensei Negima is extremely good about small details in the beginning that become shockingly relevant as the series progresses, and there are lot of things that seem like throwaway gags that are actually foreshadowing. If you read through a second time, you'll be absolutely shocked at how much was set up hundreds of chapters in advance.

That said, the series becomes notably rushed in the last...20 chapters or so, namely do to a dispute the mangaka had with his producers about giving up his intellectual property or some-such. Much of the early chapters, along with backstory, circle around to the conclusion, but the actual "end" of the series will probably feel lacking to you.

Also, it starts as really random harem/ecchi style comedy, which still lasts up until the end, but the story and setting becomes a lot more coherent about 6 volumes in.

I put off Attack the Titan and Hoshi no Samidare since I wasn't sure if I'd like the concept... but I guess it's time for me to go read them. As for Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku, I'm in doubt with the art style, but will go try it later.

Monster... I honestly don't know. I tried it a few times up til now, both manga and anime. Couldn't ever get too far. I'll go try it again I guess, now that I'm a bit older lol.

Like I said, no webcomics, at all. I've already watched anime and maybe manga (not too sure though) of Cross Game. Can't for the sake of it remember whether it fits or not. >.<

I've tried Mahou Sensei Negima before, but like you said, dropped it due to the gag and ecchi stuff... but since you say it'll get better, will pick it back up!

Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming! ^^

As an update, I finished reading all the scanned chapters of Kagerou Nostalgia, need to go find raws now. So far, it seems to fit really well!

I'm not sure if they can fit your request nicely, but I'd suggest Kekkaishi and Psyren.
Both deal with special powers, but they are explained, and the plot wraps up gradually.

I absolutely second Fullmetal Alchemist though.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I had the same kind of reservations about Samidare before, but after the first couple of chapters, I couldn't stop. And the ending made it all worth it.

Complete:
Hoozuki island
Kiss wood-I can't deal with webcomics either. 99% of the webcomics I tried I couldn't get passed the first 1/2 chapters, but this artist's work is the exception.
Magic
Shin angyo onshi
Jyu-oh-sei-(not scanned, need to either buy the books (tokyopop) or watch the anime)
Saver
Majo-collection of short stories but nothing's random.
Psyren (seconded)
Children of the sea (complete but not fully scanned, also can't 100% vouch you get all the answers as i havent completed it yet)
Smargs won't sing
Camelot garden
Tsubasa reservoir chronicles (it is explained in detail and all mysteries/etc cleared up but the answers they gave were rather convoluted. Plus you may not like it as much as the characters were all from their previous Clamp titles. It does give some level of meaning to it, as concepts from other series were brought in, extended or modified, but it depends on your perception...Plus if you do get into it then XXXholic is twinned with it, they have interwoven story lines.)
Gantz-Mostly explains things but there are a few wtfs towards the end...and a great number in the beginning lol.
King of thorn

On-going but has foreshadowing/answers to mysteries/ etc:
Dogs: bullets & carnage
Magical girl of the end
Yokokuhan
Deadman wonderland
Kaguya hime
7 seeds-(both names and chapter names have meanings and everything is explained well, some bits in the beginning put down to evolution are a bit random, though that was more or less setting the scene. otherwise everything's well planned)
Nishi no yoki majo
Dazzle
Bokura no kiseki-(this literally has every detail as a potential clue to a mystery, and when something's revealed you can see the line of clues that leads to it)
Amatsuki-(seems the straight forward formula at first but it gets really mysterious)

Kubera . When you start reading it, it will seem like a pretty straightforward fantasy, but as you keep reading it, you'll eventually realize that it's actually more like a mystery, covering several realms, several races, several generations and events spanning several hundred years (and you'll soon have no clue what's going on if you don't read carefully).

You can very, very safely read into -everything-, because just about everything is a clue left by the author, most of which you'll miss upon first read, and only realize after reading two or three more times. The author originally planned it as a novel, and the planning is easily the most intricate among the hundreds of manga I've read so far. For other stories, there may be a few instances where an event mentioned earlier is brought up say, dozens of chapters later, but in Kubera this happens literally All the time. I have a 25-page document just to keep track of what was revealed, and in what chapter, because I'd be totally lost otherwise.

And Kubera is both character And plot-oriented, because the many characters and their history Are the plot. The history of the world, the personal friendship, family and betrayals of the Gods and Sura, and many more, all form the basis of the story.

Edit: oh wait, you didn't want webtoons, and you wanted something complete. It's too bad, some webtoons nowadays have Much better writing than mainstream Shounen do, and I'm not talking about the Shoujo crap written by Hwang Mi Ri. Tower of God, for example, is basically like a cross between a Shounen series and Liar Game. The protagonist soon finds himself a victim of the many factions in the Tower, all of which have their own agenda, resulting in a much more intricate plot than your usual "good guy beats bad guy" shounen fare. (as for Kubera, the author literally described it as a "war with no villains, only victims")

Of course this thread is asking for my two favorite works:
Gunslinger Girl i'm avoiding spoilers but just for *that* Yu Aida is my favorite mangaka ever.
Hakomari how he made everything make sense embarrassed
