I'm looking for manga with, as the title says, an evolving plot/story..

some examples of what i mean are:
NOTE: for those who have not read the series below or don't want to be spoiled, im basically looking for series that the plot is like, "there's a lot more to this than you thought, huh?"

Air Gear:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
ikki starts out riding air treks to climb the Trophaeum Tower and be no. 1 but later the story evolves and takes a different tone with the introduction of gravity children and ikki gets pulled into a whole new world..

The Breaker:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Shi-Woon learns martials arts to fight back against being bullied but gets dragged into the Murim-in and now the story seems to have evolved slightly when Chun-Woo Han (the nine arts dragon) disappeared after distroying Shi-Woons Ki-Center and now it seems to be going in a different direction...

for the manga's that ive read/still reading: Click Here

Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku
Kirihito Sanka
Nijigahara Holograph
Akumu no Elevator

i try to give stories that have 'twist' or 'interesting developments' so check them out.

well not so much it ends different but more like the original objective of the MC/plot changes...
btw also i've seen Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (FMA Brotherhood) anime but havent read the manga because people told me that FMA Brotherhood pretty much follows the manga to the "T"...
i should have also said i would prefer action... i have a hard time reading slice of life and drama manga... i just need something to get me excited about.

im also still reading Gantz you can see it on my list (i haven't updated the status tho)

Dorohedoro looks interesting.. ill check it out smile

Well, you could try Pandora Hearts. The plot is constantly developing. At first it seems to be about the MC searching for certain answers, but -even though the author never forgets this premise- soon afterwards he finds out that attached to this quest there is more than what he initally seeks.

Great!!
The anime deviates from the manga, so you dont have to worry about the manga becoming boring based on that. eyes

I would certainly suggest Kingdom, it's number one on my reading list at the moment. The narration and character development is amazing, and the plot is second to none.

Berserk
Boku Dake ga Inai Machi
To Aru Majutsu no Kinsho Mokuroku
Witchcraft Works seems like it's going that way I can't be sure

Next time try to be actually be specific with what you want that's really vague and I've read both of those series.

Psyren
Shin angyo onshi
Gamaran
Blood lad
Ares
Hunter x hunter
Watashi no messiah sama
Black cat
Magi
Code:breaker
D.Grayman certainly did evolve...i just didn't really like where it evolved too...
Bremen
Nanase
Jisatsutou
Zombie loan
Claymore
Dogs: bullets & carnage
Deadman wonderland
Area D although technically they never had much of a plan from the beginning, so don't know if you can say the story evolved as such, but the focus shifted so I decided to mention it.

I second Vampire Juujikai. If it weren't for the mediocre art, it'd be a masterpiece, because the plot writing is quite amazing.

Tower of God. For a while, it will seem headed in the direction of a typical Shounen, until the main character gets pushed right out of his plot shield and into a mess of conflicting factions. You'll see.

Kubera. You'll think you know the whole plot by chapter 2, and by chapter 150 you'll be struggling to piece everything together what's Really going on (but it isn't plot holes, on the contrary, the author leaves solid trails of clues from the start). Pay attention to the flashbacks and such, because it reads a lot like a mystery where most of the important events have occured in the past (and you see it is building up to a messy future, but hasn't arrived there yet).
