what I want is a process! From A to B, how exactly did you get from hate to love?

The rivals theme works as well, but in most series there was never really any hate in the first place and the romance is just plain forced. they are only together because the artist forced them to be the main characters! most times I cannot see this happening in real life at all.


DO WANT
genuine dislike, irritation, fear, disdain, etc. GENUINE. that means when he winks at the girl she feels sickened, disgusted, and doesn't act like a stupid shoujo heroine. Feels bitter inside, whether showing it or not.
It could be mutual hatred, or one sided, openly shown or hidden deep down-- either is ok. I just want to get into a story where the two struggle to get along, and see something in the other that makes them genuinely fall in love. I want tension in the relationship. But I want to feel that it progresses where the love is natural, like they are meant to be and that being together is a beautiful thing.

sorry for the long request. I'm craving this but I have yet to see many good series. I'm open to most genre as long as it is well narrated. Do not like gore, hentai, mature topics though, but if you feel the story is awesome anyways, recommend away!

thanks for the recs! actually, if you liked Six Half you should read Bitou Lollipop! Even though it's an older work of the same mangaka I think I like it better than Six Half ( though both are really good T_T)

Seems to fit what you want perfectly. Main character's father built a house and she lives in it only to be kicked out by the new owner who is a famous actor. She has no idea why because it's her fathers house who passed away. So they come to an agreement but loath each other. She gets to stay in the house if she pretends to be his GF/fiancee.

I Do I Do - It's a poor girl who has to work off her uncle's debt. Oh, and she's beats the Male lead in the first chapter (or two). At first it seems a bit nice, but I can't judge.

Katakoi Triangle - I haven't read this one all the way through, but it seems like the Female lead hates the male; I could be wrong, I never gotten around to finish it.

I really want to recommend this one One Shot, Wasureyuki. It's has a surprising ending (so it's...you will find out), but at first it seems like a one-sided hate.

Fly High!- I haven't read this in a year, but I do believe there is a fight between the Female and Male at the beginning and ongoing tension. The girl is a bit annoying, for me.

Beauty Pop - This is one of my favorites, and it's does have hate within it. It's about hairstyling, and the Male won't let the Female outshine him. The romance is kinda a sub-plot since there's all of this completions going-on.

I am sorry, but I can't contribute since that all these guys already give out reccs I would recommend too XD, but I do know one, where it's messed up, mature with good art, but BORDERLINE H though: Cross and Crime. It is my guilty pleasure at the moment, but then again, it might be a little too much for you, since it's Seinen with rape and such.

I have another recc that I haven't read much, but seems to swing that way Reimei no Arcana and maybe Last Game?. The Mc for the latter didn't like her because she was smarter than him, but he feel for her not long after and had a hard time trying? Don't worry, both are it's shoujo
