After reading all of love lucky last night i have found a new appreciation for seinen romance. and my hatred for borderline h has somewhat lifted. (it came about due to Aki Sora)

I'm looking for a comedy first everything else is secondary.
mismatched couple and strictly monogamous i have a slight hatred for harems thanks to ichigo 100%

anyways a mismatched couple in terms on social, financial or apperance. preferably the female has a strong input or is the one that is envied like love lucky.

PLEASE NO
arrogant, self centered abusive male lead who seems to get away wityh casual rape;
no idiotic female who finds such a guy appealing.

Basically a romance like love lucky that is completed and deals with adults or yound adults finding and maintaining that love in a comedic sense with some slight awkwardness.

thanks in advance and i hope it helps if it doesn't just let me know.

If you're willing to try something from 1990, I suggest you try this one:

Living Game
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1173
A romantic comedy about Fuwa, a guy living in a small apartment in overcrowded Tokyo, who wants to have a place of his own. Because of a building accident in their new office building, Fuwa's company (5 employees) had to move into his apartment, right after he had moved to a larger place. And the new employee (Hiyama Izumi, a 15 year-old girl) had to move into Fuwa's place, as she had just come from the country. Then Fuwa's old girlfriend Tokiko, who had already gotten married, ran away from her husband and came to Fuwa's place.

If you want a borderline H I'd suggest Yuria 100 Shiki. Best one I've read so far (which is not much to be honest, it's not really my genre).

Seconded. It drags some in the middle, but once you get to the end it is worth it.

One-Pound Gospel by TAKAHASHI Rumiko
Otoyomegatari by MORI Kaoru

I have not read these but the reports are good:
Maison Ikkoku, also by Takahashi-sensei
Emma, also by Mori-sensei

Otoyomegatari and Emma are not comedies which is what i'm looking primarily and also i have completed Emma and Sukimasuki. my lists are public so feel free to have a look.

I've started reading Ashita Dorobou and it's interesting so far. thanks avian for the suggestion.
I'll look at maison ikkoku some other tie right now it's added to my wish list.

@-shiratori- i'm not looking for borderline H per se, i'm merely suggesting that is would not be shunned if suggested.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far but I've yet to see anything that jumps at me.

maybe this might help
A romance that deals with adults rather than teenagers, children or ridiculous age gaps that also has comedy if possible.

If you don't mind GL (it is seinen though) then Poor Poor Lips might work...

Denkigai no Honya-san

It's not comedy, but it's very mismatched: Velvet Kiss. I liked it, despite the borderline...

As for comedies, maybe...
Kanojo wa Kannou Shosetsuka
Kono S o, Mi yo!
Moteki
Nana to Kaoru totally
Renai Shimasen ka?
Sankarea shounen
Toradora!
Witchcraft Works
Hetakoi
Kodomo no Jikan loli, but hilarious
Seishun For-get!
Boku to Watashi no Henai Jijou

One manga comes into my mind:
Densha Otoko
It's based on a true story, and is about a geek who meets a beautiful woman. Comedy, mismatched couple, romance, seinen.
This story became pretty famous in Japan.

How about Genshiken? It's a good one, about a college otaku entering a geeky club.

School romance:

I second Nana to Kaoru, but take into acount that it's really borderline H.

Horimiya A nice manga in which the boy and the girl have sides that don't show in class, but then they discover each others' secrets and develop an unexpected friendship.

Angel Densetsu A comedy in which the male protagonist is always misunterstood as a bad guy lol This is a good comedy with some romance.

And ...

Bakuman Good one with a good peek into the mangaka's lifes.
Love Hina Ok, this is tagged as a Harem, and yes, it's a Harem, but it has nothing to do with ichigo 100%. The mc is not an unbeareable playboy.
B Gata H Kei Beware, this one is 4-koma. Also, 100% comedy. Maybe too much comedy? laugh

By the way, all of my suggestions are of mangas really diferent from each other.

Sorry, I'm also too lazy to check your lists bigrazz

Disagree. There's actually very little nudity in it. It's more about a risque/taboo topic with suggestive scenes, that's all. Lots of panting and "huh?s". biggrin

I see, but I suggest you still have a look at Yuria 100 Shiki. It's hilarious and the ecchi content is not so bad (it's heavily censored + basically all of the ecchi scenes are just used as initiation for gags). The romance is also quite good, although I have yet to see the ending. All in all, I'd suggest you give it a try.
