Hello, my wish list is getting out of hand.

http://www.mangaupdates.com/mylist.html?id=205344&list=w ish

Tell me which ones aren't worth reading, or are questionable quality please! If you're sure that one is not worth reading, feel free to post spoilers to back up your reasons.

If you have extra time, please also tell me which series are so good that I simply must start reading them right away.

Thank you for your help!

Kyuuketsu Yuugi drop this. The ending and story becomes more and more confusing as the story progressed. Or at least, that's how I felt

V.B. Rose lack of real story progress or intent. Too much fluff. The story just seems to go on and on and I forget what the story really is. Except of course, if you have some interests in it like if you're into fashion, DIY stuff, or if the story is actually something that you like to read

Dennou Shoujo Mink too much fluff. Light reading. Either you read in within 2 weeks or if you decide after 2 weeks, you still don't feel like reading it, drop it

Finish this:
Love Blog!! it's already scanlated fully and I think it's pretty refreshing to have a modern woman as a heroine. She thinks about life and love in general instead of just going with the flow. At times, sounds like she's selfish but well.... isn't everyone also like that? It's pretty believable for me

Runway no Koibito refreshing main character. She's not perfect and the flaws make her beautiful. The ending is pretty realistic and not all happily ever after

Keep [m]Yeonmoo[/m] personally, one of my favorites

Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou should have been finished a long time ago. Good story. Maybe abit too much on the angst side as the story progressed but I like it

Our lists don't overlap that much so I guess our taste is pretty different so.... biggrin

I really like Fukigen Cinderella (axed ending, but it was good), Heptagon (a favorite) and Sugar Apple Fairytale (Novel) (the manga is also good, but it is ongoing). I also liked Angel Diary (uncommon shoujo protagonist, she is dense but she is strong). I haven't read My Heart Is Beating yet, but it is supposed to be very good.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime - read this. it's fully scanned and worth reading.
Koharu no Hibi - also fully scanned. Read.
Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata - keep. Start it if you can.
GE - fully scanned now, but mediocre. Dragged on for longer than it should have with needless drama. Happy-ish ending I guess, so your discretion.
Onepunch-Man - keep, start, read, stay up-to-date, wait anxiously each month for a new release.
Another - fully scanned, relatively short. You can finish this. It's alright, but little to no romance. More of a mystery story than horror. Some parts don't make sense.

you gotta read

Tomodachi no Hanashi - their friendship feels real, and the artwork are just beautiful

Magi - Labyrinth of Magic - a great shounen with such likeable array of characters

Onepunch-Man - just dang hilarious, and its so refreshing where the protagonist is too powerful we dont need those 'defeated, train, defeat' hash plot.

Damare Kono Yaro Bukkorosu - if you are into rape and shota this is definitely a good read....it's funny too.

Akuma wa Hohoemu - beautiful art

Zion no Koeda - if you have military uniform fetish, this is IT.

Itou Junji Kyoufu Manga Collection - you just gotta read this, the art just brings the horror to life

dont read

Kohitsuji Hokaku Keikaku! - if you are into little girls body with penis...the story just boring and the art meh.

Don't worry I have 700+ series on my wish list XD

Anyway...

I think Shounen Hakaryuudo and Magical JxR will probably have no more releases so I've dropped them from my wish list too (I haven't read them!), Dennou Shoujo Mink is pretty childish, I disliked SWOT, since it got pretty ridiculous towards the end and I just can't stand Doubt!!... The story sucks and the scans are pretty bad too. (This is just my opinion)

I recommend Soul Eater (It's a must! Action, comedy and something fresh for a change), Hakushaku to Yousei, the manga version, (Fantasy, romance and fairies), Cardcaptor Sakura (A heartwarming shoujo series) and Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (A beautiful story about life, love, and tragedy)

I hope this helped, even a littel smile

Btw I found some interesting manga from your list that I haven't read yet, thanks for that biggrin

Drop:
V.B.Rose - dull story and plain art
Sensei ni, Ageru - I like student/teacher stories, but this one leaves a bad taste in my mouth. (I may however be a bit biased bc I had a bad experience doing translation for Chibi Manga for this series. If you do read this one, don't blame any grammatical errors/nonsensical dialogue/awkward dialogue on me.)
Hapi Mari - well, I'm biased since I hate all this author's works. Bleh. In general I find her plots vapid and cliché.
Doubt!! - I dropped this for some reason and can't remember why, so it must have been a forgettable series overall
Love Blog!! - ditto for this one. There are a lot of better josei out there.
Possibly Arisa - I got frustrated with this one and stopped reading, so check out the first few chapters maybe.

Definitely read:
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou - even if it's just because it's a classic. I doubt it floats everyone's boat though and kinda drags on.
7seeds - this manga is possibly my favourite manga ever. No kidding. It is AMAZING. Has me laughing or in tears or clutching my chest in pain. Ugh. Seriously, look at all the 10/10 reviews.
Hanatsukihime - hey, it's short and pretty.
Octave - cute
Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi - lovely piece and kinda has a small cult following among some shoujo manga readers. I've seen a few threads in the I'm Looking For forums looking for manga specifically similar to this, for example.
Heptagon - I really like this sort of plot.

Well Cardcaptor Sakura is a classic that everyone should either read or watch so yeah maybe you should =)

Huh, a lot of people hate V.B. Rose. I liked it, it wasn't too memorable, but it's a relaxing read and I rather liked the dress designs, and it isn't "aw man, this is Bad!" like the series I'm about to point to. But to each their own.

Definitely drop:
Arisa: It started with so much potential, but you'll be So disappointed at the end because the author obviously couldn't come up with anything decent to tie up the loose ends and simply went with "because everyone was crazy". Seriously!

SWOT: Read this if you want to read one of the worst cases of bad Shounen stereotypes. The premise was interesting, but the characters lack any depth whatsoever, and you might as well label them as "Obligatory sidekick", "Obligatory female love interest", "Obligatory rival" and such. And the plot stops making sense after a while.

Thesis: There is absolutely no substance in this story. The characters are nothing special, the twists aren't particularly interesting, it's just really bland.

As for which ones to read:
7 Seeds is a masterpiece that you should savor slowly when you have the time. It starts out pretty slow, but you will eventually be rewarded with some of THE best character development I've ever seen in manga. The characters grow not only as individuals, but also as a group as they meet and confront each other and learn to get along to survive in the destroyed world. The starting team, also known as the "loser" team, will seem annoying at first, but gets some of the best development much later on, and the other teams are interesting from the start.

I'm personally quite fond of Ciel, the heroine is absolutely charming and witty, and her friendship with the strong and chivalrous (but somewhat shy) Lariatte just makes me melt into a puddle.

You'll probably want to move Onepunch-Man to your reading list too: it's damn funny and the art is amazing, so it's a good laugh to have from time to time.

Dunno about the rest.

I can only really help with your yaoi choices bc those are the only ones that seem to overlap with my lists bigrazz

Definitely Keep/Read
**************************
Yami ni Tooboe, Mune ni Toge
Three Wolves Mountain
Mawaru Sekai no Kimi to Boku
These three are by Naono Bohra and everything that I have read by her I absolutely love. Out of these Three Wolves Mountain is something you must push to the top of the list.... it is SO good and has become one of my favorites.

Mousou Elektel is a keeper for sure smile

Not Equal - READ ASAP - if you are okay with incest... THIS is the best yaoi that you have on your list (in my opinion, anyway)
Merry Checker - really good one!!!
Recipe no Ouji-sama - this one is finally fully scanlated including the extra. It is a very 'happy' type story and totally cute! It is Junko so any of her work I would recommend.

Wow I just went ahead and looked at all of the yaoi on your wish list.... yeah you must keep them all! Lol! I know that doesn't help with cleaning out your wish list but... they are all just too good NOT to read them ^.^

I can't really say that much since I've only read/am reading 17 of the manga on your wish list, but I agree with these. Also, for My Heart Is Beating, I just finished it yesterday and find that its quite good. biggrin

P.S. No worries, my wishlist is more out of hand(440 right now) :3

Definitely Read:

Seconding Golden Days (fantastic characters, realistic development, infinitely heartwarming), Ubel Blatt (just a great action series), and Vinland Saga (amazing character development and just a fantastic historical series in general)

IS - Otoko demo Onna demo Nai Sei Your mileage may vary with this one, but I really loved it. It's incredibly touching and sweet, and while it's a bit of a simplistic look at intersexuality, it definitely has enough sheer heartwarming moments to make up for it.

Coral - Tenohira no Umi I'm kind of just a huge fan of Tono in general, and Coral is a really interesting work with an atmosphere that just draws you in. If you haven't read Tono before, though, I don't think Coral is an entirely perfect representation of what she can do, so I would actually recommend trying out Dusk Story - Tasogare Monogatari first if you haven't already.

Shuumatsu no Laughter A really great one-volume short series that accomplishes basically everything it sets out to do. Tanabe Yellow's just really great at writing characters, and her skills in writing plot has also gotten noticeably better here. Definitely worth a read.

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha. I'm kind of really biased with this one, but Inari is absolutely the most adorable and sweet character ever. The whole series is just really sweet in general, and Inari is a great, down-to-earth character that I can't help but love.

Hana no Mizo Shiru This actually gave me feelings, and that's pretty rare considering how desensitized I am to BL these days. If you enjoy BL, this one is basically a must.

The Pale Horse The art here is absolutely gorgeous, and while the story might seem straightforward and simple at first, it has gotten really, really interesting lately, and there are definitely more than one moment that has surprised me. Definitely worth reading if only for the art.

Gunka no Baltzar A great manga about military warfare. It's definitely more historical/plot-driven than character-driven, but all the characters are interesting and fun to watch, especially the main character who is a great strategist. Definitely worth reading if you like historical/military works.

Your Mileage May Vary:

Shounen Hakaryuudo This is basically everything it says on the tin. It doesn't really do anything new or interesting, and the plot and characters are fairly average. Not a bad series, but not a fantastic one either. I say if you have too much on your plate, drop this one. If not, it's decent for a quick read.

Torikago Gakkyuu While I do enjoy Mashiba Shin's works, their series are definitely ones that thrive on formula, and this one is no exception. The things that happen to the characters can get old pretty darn fast because the same things keep on happening over and over again. The central mystery and the individual monster-of-the-week-esque arcs aren't even as enjoyable as his previous works. So, like the above, if you're pressed for time, drop this one.

Another As always, Kiyohara Hiro's art is great. A pretty decent series overall, though I found the horror a bit lacking. It's interesting while it lasts though, and I would recommend it, if only for the art.

Binbou Shimai Monogatari This one is a nice little slice-of-life. It's nothing amazing though, and definitely not something you should feel compelled to read if you don't have time.

Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata Ehhh. This one is OK. The art is nice. The main character is OK. Some of the side characters are cute. It just doesn't seem to have any coherent direction, unfortunately. A nice read, but an unsatisfactory one. I would say drop if you really don't have time.

Dark Mage Actually surprisingly good with its characters and plot progression. The unfortunate thing is that the manga ended before anything really picked off, so you'll have to read the actual light novels for the rest. Whether you want to start a manga that never ends is up to you.

Kore wa Koi no Hanashi I don't know why, but this series just doesn't work for me. It has nice art, nice characters, and I'm not usually one to mind an age gap, but I just really don't feel anything in particular for this series. It's a nice read for a distraction, but not much else. Others have good things to say about it, though, so I think it's just a matter of taste.

Torikagosou no Kyou mo Nemutai Juunintachi I actually did not like any characters in this series. Yup, not one. I think I'm kind of alone in this opinion though (and it seems others liked it), so I'll just leave this here as a "you should try it and see."

Drop:

Mousou Elektel While the characters are interesting enough, I just don't have a taste for BL that drag on for this long. It also feels like the mangaka is running out of ideas and so just keeps on trying to throw any trouble she can think of in the main couples' way for ~drama~ If you don't have time for this, it's definitely not worth the effort.

Kohitsuji Hokaku Keikaku! It's Minami Haruka. Unless you're in the mood for mindless PWP, drop.

Bara no Maria This could have been interesting, but... it just wasn't. The characters all felt really flat and the jokes were ridiculous and there seemed to be virtually no plot. It doesn't help that the series was adapted from a novel and truncated so that virtually no one got developed.

Shounen Oujo OK, this is definitely a biased opinion, so you don't have to listen to it if you don't want to, but I have an enormous, enormous problem with the setting of this manga, so much so that the decent characters and nice art doesn't save it. At all.

RealPG It could have been interesting (even though the premise was extremely iffy) but the ending was rushed and ultimately unsatisfactory. It didn't feel like anything worthwhile happened at all.

GE I never finished this, but things really start going downhill--and badly--later on. Just save yourself the multiple headaches and skip this.
