Can anyone recommend me a relationship like this? And example of what I like would be Hirunaka no Ryuusei. I would prefer if it was cute art and if the teacher was male and over one volume. Thank you very much!

Search of student-teacher relationship, with older male ...
Now with my recommendation it's Daisuki Datta yo, Sensei... not one volume long, but worth a read IMO.

I second Faster than a Kiss and Sensei!. There are probably dozens of threads for this request out there but here are my two cents.

IKUEMI Ryou's I Love Her and Kiyoku Yawaku
The first one portrays how an exceptional relationship grows between a female transfer student and one of her new teachers. Partially teacher and student, partially neighbours, more than friends but not really lovers - their romance is depicted with tenderness and sincerity.
The second one is a merry-go-round of different stories and characters that loosely connect with one another. One of these stories include a teacher and the unrequited love a girl holds for him.

Tora to Ookami by KAMIO Youko
This easily flowing story focuses on the budding friendship between a fujioshi and two customers at her family's restaurant who are in the middle of becoming her teachers at her high school.

MITSUKI Kako's Zenbu, Hajimete.
A female high schooler who falls for her ex-neighbour turned teacher. Expect the mangaka's usual dose of sweet fluff mixed with gentle drama.

Sekai wa Happy de Dekiteiru by USAMI Maki
If you're looking for a light, straight love story, this manga will be the right choice. The female lead may be a bit dumb but she's not the unreasonably crying mess you see way too often in Shoujo. She's rather frank from the beginning, and later on she learns to confront her problems. The teacher is a bit gruff but caring. So give it a shot; it's one of the mangaka's better pieces.

TANAKA Meca's 7 Jikanme Rhapsody
A more common student-teacher romance by the mangaka of Faster than a Kiss: The female lead is a serious high school student who can't stand her happy-go-lucky homeroom teacher until she's made to help him out as a love consultant.

Sugar Family by HAGIO Akira
I was pleasantly surprised by this cross-over between step-sibling and student-teacher relationship. Don't let the premise fool you into thinking this was one of those cliched and saucy forbidden love stories!
The main characters do their best to be considerate of each other when they start living together as total strangers-turned-siblings. In the course of this series, the mangaka establishes a delicate balance between the two who are more often than not painfully aware of their roles and all the attached implications.
However, this manga isn't a dark and heavy family drama, either. The whole cast tends to be on the quirky end of the scale and their actions are more than amusing. All in all, I consider it a sensitively executed realtionship story.

Eikaiwa School Wars and Kiss by MATSUMOTO Tomo
They might not be your usual student-teacher relationships since neither is set in high school but they're interesting nevertheless.
The first one takes place at a conversational English school. It follows a hopeless and reluctant high school girl as she has to deal with her equally stubborn English instructor. Bilingual bickering ensues.
The second one is more of an age gap romance than a student-teacher relationship but I decided to suggest it anyway because it is so deeply romantic. The mangaka drew this one in her old 90s Shoujo style but the subtlety of her gestures conveys more feeling than most of today's Shoujo manga.

SAKURAI Machiko's H
You asked for cute art and lighter stuff which doesn't apply to this title but it deserves to be mentioned because it's such a great character sketch. The mood is dark and quite angsty but not melodramatic at all. It's contains some solid drama and massive but believable character development. It became a real page-turner for me - and one that I wouldn't forget.

If you still need more suggestions, here's a link to another request for female student- male teacher relationships:

I'm assuming you like the newer series, because of Hirunaka no Ryuusei. Sensei Kunshu is still new, so it doesn't have many releases, but you might like that.

You can also do a search of completely scanlated shoujo manga with the tag "student-teacher relationship" so that you can go through them more efficiently.
