Hello, I'm looking for oneshots or a collection of short stories which are.. short. Preferably less than 20 pages.
Something like Majo to Boku or Lo-Fi After School or similar.

No specific genre, but slice of life or romance would be nice.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :>

Majo to Boku - Sighs, the work of YAMAKAWA Aiji is just so nice, that it will be hard to come up with something comparable, but yesterday I stumbled upon ...

Alice in Mirrorland .

It's rather sketchy and artistic, but has a short range and is also full color. More about my opinion on this can be found in my comment. ^^;

There are some more in my lists, but I will have to search later, therefore this post is ... [tbc].

@Jidan
Indeed it is hard to find good ones...
Thanks for your suggestion anyway! It was funny smile

@Yankee-chan
Thanks for your suggestion! While the art is interesting, I got rather confused and had to read it twice. And true, Yamakawa Aiji's works are all so beautiful, it probably is very difficult to find something as good.

I look forward to more of your recommendations! :>

Mihara Mitsukazu has some good ones... such as The End in Common Ruin Deserted Place SLice of Black Chocolate (one of my favorites). I see you've already read Children Can't Choose Their Parents that one was great, wasn't it? XD

*edit* I remember the title now. It's called Till Dawn it's from an anthology
Also Sara no UE no kanojo was pretty good 16pg
Hoshi ni Naru hi is a really awesome one shot collection. Lengths vary.
Ever heard of the Arcana 1 anthology. There are a ton of volumes and each have short one shots revolving around the theme of the volume that they are in.

There is another really short one that I know of, but I can't remember ...

Thanks for reminding me of the name of that manga. Just today I was trying to recall its title, haha. Yep, it was very interesting! I shall go read up on the author's other works. biggrin

If you don't mind 4-koma, then I'd recommend Waka Waka.

Very cute and short stories :>

I knew it - There was Natsu no Nioi, Fuwari, which was also a really nice one and on which I just wrote a comment, so I took my time to search for it again. Kkk.

Edit: Ame Tokidoki Koi Moyou didn't leave that much of a impression in my case, but it's another oneshot coming up with only 16 pages.

I would've suggested Nickelodeon, but you're reading it already. Well, let's see what else I can find on my lists.

Stories with less than 20 pages:

Itaitashii Love by NANANAN Kiriko
Thoughtful and partially inter-linked, these short stories offer insights on women's love life. Realistic slice-of-life episodes captured in monochrome contrasts.

HISAKA Mika's Megane no Hito
Mature love stories about the interaction between lovers when they're having sex. Their thoughts and small worries made to fit into the warm frame of a Seinen manga.

Moyashi Fuufu by ONO Natsume
Lovely episode about an elderly couple and their way to deal with rumours.

CLAMP's Watashi no Suki na Hito
A dual compilation of short stories and essays on love. CLAMP reflects on their own or their friends' outlook on the mysterious feeling that joins humans together.

Yawarakai Onna by TOMI Akihito
Collection of short episodes with a dynamic art style. It's similar to MORI Kaoru's in beauty and expressiveness. The stories are enjoyably different.

TANIKAWA Fumiko's Ohitorisama Monogatari and Kurashi no Izumi (20-30 pages for the latter)
Brief self-portaits of various women and young families with different circumstances. From a Josei perspective this time.

Stories with less than 30 pages:

Ai de Asobu. by NINOMIYA Hikaru
Details from sexual relationships between men and women with unexpected twists. Surprisingly unconventional.

IRIE Aki's Gunjou Gakusha
Beautiful anthology of Seinen stories. Art is similar to the one in Yawarakai Onna, flowing effortlessly between the panels, whereas the tone ranges from light and amusing to serious and realistic, depending on the story. Some snapshots are inter-linked.

Suki mo Yoi by FUTAMI Sui
Slice-of-life stories that revolve around love, not only the romantic kind but love in general. Calm and sweet.

Shisei (YOKOBABA Ryo)
About the bittersweet reunion of two souls forced apart by social hierarchy.

I really enjoyed Gunjou Rain. It's about a woman pondering the future in a world that seems to be timeless in rain.
