I'm looking for manga in which the main character is that stereotypical sporty girl (small chest, prone to teasing, always smiling, and of course in a sports club) as opposed to being a side character (which these characters usually end up as).
Preferably an action, even a shounen action. Definitely not a shoujo romance please.

Toaru Kagaku no Choudenjihou ? <- she's not in a sports club per se, but plenty of action.
You could also try Ore-sama Teacher . It's a shoujo, but there isn't much romance to speak of. The main character is an ex-delinquent, so I guess "beating people up" could be considered a type of sport....?
