Hello everyone!

I am thinking about joining a group in order to hone my translation skills a bit before I begin working in "tha' bizness". I have been studying Japanese independently for the past three years and have been doing so quite earnestly for the past two. It perhaps bears mentioning that I am a native English speaker with a fair capacity for writing in the language.

I am most interested in working on older series that, through some act of devil or djinn, have failed to be translated thus far. My interest is especially peaked on untranslated series with the "Award-Winning Work" tag. If you are in need of a translator for an acclaimed series from the '90s or earlier, you most certainly have my attention.

That said, my tastes in media are quite diverse and I will not reject any project simply on the basis of genre. Contradicting what I have just said, however, are the more "sexy" series. You know what I'm talking about, and I am afraid I am simply not cut out to translate such material. I would prefer to leave the smut to the professionals. eyes

My ideal series would be one that is complete, not too long, and needs to be translated in its entirety.

I am looking for a group that takes their time to ensure a very high quality release. To this end, I am looking for a smaller group, one that focuses on only a few series at a time. It must be said that I plan on working on this in my downtime and will not necessarily be able to keep up with too hectic a schedule. Assuming a sensible routine, however, I will have ample time to produce quality translations.

If you have any queries or fit the above in some way, please send me a message. I will try to get back to you within a 48-hour period. A PM is acceptable, but I will notice you much quicker if you shoot me an email at:

trx9944@gmail[dot]com

My apologies for the extreme verbosity, everyone! I just love whacking my fingers on keys.

P.S. On a somewhat facetious level, I hope you are in for some stupid discourse with me, the likes of which are exemplified by this very post.
