I'm looking for something fairly short, but it's fine if it isn't. As the title says, I'm looking for a manga about the MC experiencing hardships, yet he's still hiding his emotions. He could finally break at the end. But I really want one where the MC tries to play it off as if everything was swipe under the rug, and hide it with a mask; maybe the other characters never question it or barley notice it in the beginning.

The relationship can be anything but yuri. So even a MC girl could be experiencing this.

Try reading Namaikizakari. I think it's fairly close to what you're looking for.
The summary at MangaUpdates doesn't really describe much of the manga, so I think you'll have to read it to see if you like it.

Maybe Genkaku Picasso. The MC is pretty much anti-social and hides his emotions from anyone, even himself, and you'll understand why at the end. This is a recurring theme in this manga, people hiding their emotions/problems/traumas, and the MC needs to explore their psyche to help them.

Maybe The Embalmer - but I just started it myself (I'm on chapter seven) so I don't know when he opens up. It's about 40 chapters.

That sounds like Kubera to me, though I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. The main female character will look like she's fine at first, but it will become increasingly apparent that she's completely broken inside and getting worse, but she tries extremely hard to act like she's alright. We get the occasional flash into her future, and it ain't pretty. Plus most of the rest of the cast is miserable and trying not to show it as well.

Kokou no Hito may be more of what you're looking for. He's not hiding his emotions, per se, but he's a total introvert with serious communication problems.
