There is this normal girl, and suddenly she meets a mysterious boy who is supernatural, I think he was a kitsune, but maybe I'm mistaken. Something myth-Japanese, anyway, a kami, a spirit... even though the world is our normal contemporary world.
No, it's not Kami-sama Hajimemashita! For sure, because the thing I remember very clearly despite having read just a chapter or two of that manga is that he had a very sweet personality. It's not Ten no Ryuu Chi no Sakura, either, it fits the description very well, but I've already read it so no.
Does it ring any bells? Thanks in advance! ^__^ (If you happen to know a similar anime, I'll be happy to receive the title, too, since I'm interested in the general theme.)

Unfortunately, it's not that one. (But it sounds interesting.)
There weren't that many details, because I only read a chapter or two. It's just that I watched the KSH anime and decided I want something similar, so I started making a list of manga/anime titles that had similar themes--and then I remembered this one, but no amount of digging around in my TBR lists produced the title.

The main girl... here's what I remember: at the beginning she was a totally normal girl. Not a spirit master from an ancient clan or anything like that. Yet someone wanted to kidnap her... maybe kill her? She thought it was the spirit boy at first, because he was watching her (I think).
