Fiction - Battle for Minas Tirith
Real - Battle of Stalingrad (not coolest but just so many lives were wasted).

Stalingrad would have actually been a Siege... There was never really a battle, only a great deal of battles leading up to the Siege. However Germany was forced back before Stalingrad was ever really taken. Largely due to attrition and morale differences.

Unless you're German, we -got- "pwned" on the beaches of Normandy, we didn't pwn anyone. The allies fell like flies and lost hundreds of troops for every one German defender. I don't understand why this point is so misconstrued by people.

Exactly!!!
i don't get it either, maybe its cause we broke through..eventually....idk.

umm, i dont know much about this, but i gotta go with "Battle of Thermopylae" i am not sure if thats the real name, but yea, that was Epic.

i also heard about something that happened in India, apperently it was like, 20 something people against thousands.
if thats true, that gets my vote.

I'm going for the Iliad.

All the great Greek heroes fighting in one place. That should have been awesome!!!

Real : =Battle of Thermopylae - 300 vs 100000(this is the real estimate )

that's just wrong.it was:
300 spartans
700 thespians
and 6,000 other greeks / allies

VS.

5,283,220 according to persian logs but only half of those were soldiers the rest were support
also the number shrank as the story was retold over time to 3 million then to 800,000

after the spartains were routed by the persians, leonidas dismissed the rest of the army and stayed behind with 300 spartans and 2,000 others.

don't rely on hollywood to teach you history.

oh and does the air drop the night before d-day count as a battle? if so then that one.

The final scene in the Dark Knight Rises, Red VS Blue (mostly season 8), and the final scene in The Expendables 2.

Actually "we" did pwn, but that is we as in anyone but germany and US. US and Germany suffered heavy casualties, most other countries did not.

It also is pwnage because it was an uphill battle from the start.
