Do you fall under a stereotype?
I was originally going to ask this for only child status, but I'll extent it to all stereotypes.

Note - I have no intention to promote prejudice in any way shape or form. Yes, you can't have prejudice thoughts without stereotypes, but that doesn't mean all stereotypes are prejudiced. Not all stereotypes are prejudice. This is really for saying "ha I guess I do fall under that one" . This thread is suppose to be more on the funny, upbeat side of things.

Which stereotype you find to be true for you?
Some things to think about.
♠ Being the first child you're always treated best
♠ Being the middle child you feel ignored.
♠ Being the youngest child you were the most spoiled
♠ Because you're a daughter you're a daddy's girl (or vice versa)

errr I can only think of family orientated ones ...

For me:
- I do fall under being the youngest I'm the most spoiled. laugh Even now that I've grown up and have kids of my own, whenever I visit my mom I want to be spoiled. (and am >.>)
Oh I also feel that the middle child, and eldest thing is also true in my family. My eldest sister is treated as if she were part god or something, and my next eldest sister she gets attention, but it's not the same as my eldest (god like treatment) or myself (spoiled rotten).

- Yeah I actually fell into one of the bad ones. Get married, and being a housewife. Although the stereotype is sexist this was a choice of mine. (also reason why I didn't list it above is because it is sexist). Like I said it was a choice of mine to be a housewife, I wanted to create a warm loving home, not a place where you live. I'm not saying you can't have a warm loving home if a parent doesn't stay at home. I just believe in order for myself to accomplish this goal of mine I would have to stay home.

- Oh my I fell into another bad one eek the "woman are horrible drivers". Although I do believe gender has nothing to do with how well of a driver you are, and I don't want to add fuel to the fire. But seeing as I am female, and I do drive terribly ... I do fall into this one. Real reasons why I'm a bad driver: I hate driving. Thus I drive as little as possible, and not getting enough experience to become a great driver. In a sense attention span also plays a role. Although I'm patient enough to drive within the speed limits, I do however stick to one lane. ( I don't weave in and out of traffic). Other than listening to music I can't do anything else while driving. Example like holding a conversation either with the person next to me, or someone on speakerphone. Nope, can't do it. Either I miss a turn I was suppose to take, or completely stop mid sentence, and blank out on what I was talking about.
So yes, although gender doesn't effect how well I drive, just because of my personality and technically (based on my gender) this stereotype falls true to me.

I know there's more, but this OP is too long.
Edit- hmmm after some thought it seems like which stereotype do you fall under is a better title .... Ahh well can't change it now.

Being the youngest I've always gotten away with more stuff, but this is mainly because my older sibling always spoiled me, did my work for me, took the blame for me, ect. Though I guess my parents were always more lenient with me. biggrin

I like manga/anime which means I'm awkward with people, a nerd and a no-life.
Pretty proud of all of the above.

1. "Because you're a daughter you're a daddy's girl (or vice versa)", yep, that is true... Good sometimes, bad sometimes.

2. "Because I'm the younger child, they put expectations on me". My older brother failed to have a "good job", enter a "good university" etc etc... So I have to accomplish it and since I'm more close to actually do it, they put more pressure. It is a bit like "see, your brother made a mistake here and here, so look at it and don't make one yourself".

3. "You are a feminist, so men are afraid to approach you". Is this a stereotype? I don't know, but some people say that to me when I talk about wanting to date someone. I don't know if counts in other places, but here a lot of people say it: "you are feminist, so men are afraid of you because they think you don't like them". confused My ex-boyfriend told me he never tried anything before (I was the one who started the talk) because he was too scared of my opinion about him, thinking I would never consider someone like him (the conclusion I get from it, if you are a feminist = you are super smart and doesn't accept flaws on others = looking for the super smart guy and hate people who aren't an """active feminist"""). (Did I explain it well or made more confusing? laugh )

I'm actually a real life kuudere. Except, in real life it is definitely not glamorous or moe. ㅠ_ㅠ

Also, the 1st born, middle born, and youngest all applies to the family!! I am the middle-child and it's so true ahaha.

1. Because you're a daughter you're a daddy's girl - honestly, this hasn't done much good for me.

2. Because I'm the youngest child, I'm expected to be just as good as my older siblings - which sucks when everyone in your family is smart, and you have a sibling who's considered a goody-goody.

3. All Asians are good at Maths and Science and succeed more in school - this is pretty much true for me.

4. I wear glasses and therefore am smart - something I've been told repeatedly since starting high school, which was never an issue in primary school because I had only started wearing them two years before. It's actually really annoying.

5. Tomboys would rather play sports with boys, than gossip with other girls - I was probably more obvious about it when I was younger.

...I can't remember any more.

Being unattractive, fat, a virgin, wearing glasses, stuttering, having communication impairment and no friends IRL I fall under every possible Geek/Otaku stereotype there is.

Also, single child = spoiled brat: fits too.
