EXACTLY. I always hate that those emotionally weaked MC starts relying the another character and all sort of drama comes out. AURGH. How I wish the MCs are like Misaki!

Hell yeah, for me, Misaki is the best character for a shoujo, if she Ever had any problem, the only guy that she'll rely on to is Usui..
Another shoujo that I hate the female is Special A, the male lead always care and worry about the female, but the female is so, Uhhh..

Maybe Ore Monogatari!!? Technically it is shoujo but drawn from a boy's perspective. Really funny and sweet. Even guys who hate shoujo read it so I think it's all right to give it a try.

Maybe I'll try to contribute something to this thread this time. Let's see:

Hitorimi Haduki-san to. - a salarywoman who never had a boyfriend gets thrown into a relationship with a shy teenager; very hnng

Kyou no Yuiko-san - about a guy and his tsundere girlfriend; takes place in school
Renai Shimasen ka? - a guy who has a dislike of 3D woman, starts dating an attractive but awkward girl who works at a maid cafe

The Perfect Girlfriend - might fit, but only 1 chapter is translated
Tonari no Kashiwagi-san - should fit very well and it's quite good
Hadi Girl - a very awkward girl is forced into a relationship with a boy (vary innocent stuff); minor supernatural stuff happens though

Fantasy Maid - technically fantasy, but there are very little actual supernatural elements; has some smutty\mature scenes though; probably lacks comedy

Gotta second 14-sai no Koi, it's good.

There is an awesome series called Futari no Renai Shoka which no one seems to be translating and which would otherwise fit the request.

If anime are ok too, you should definitelly watch Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! and Toradora! (or try them in manga\novel format).

And if you ever feel like reading shoujo, you could try this sugary shotacon named Dear Mine
