Tales of how "I spent too much money"-
Share some stories of a time when you spent more money someplace then originally intended.

(one of my stories)
- I went to Walmart to get my husband a gift for Christmas (two days after Christmas). Everything was on sale O.O Oh how I'm a sucker for sales. Thinking oh this only cost $5, and this only cost $10 ... 5 items later I'm at over $80 when I only wanted to spend 20. So I put something back that cost 5 and grab something that cost 30 dollars a few minutes later. About an hour or two later after picking some stuff, and putting then back, I go to check out ... Still spent over $80 when I only wanted to spend a max of 30 T^T. Luckily this wasn't one of those times when I wanted to spend $30 and ended up spending $210 dollars .... that wasn't a nice trip to the mall, but that's another story.
*sigh* things add up too quickly. I'll say that mall trip some other time.

I once spent over $50 on Candy Crush...the height of my stupidity because I'm not of the wage-earning class so my money is relatively fixed.

Then spent a lot of money on social media advertising, Twitter followers, and games I already have. no ==facepalm==

Went out for dinner on Friday last month.

Came home in a brand new, 2014 Subaru Forester.

Every time I go to the grocery store. dead

I try to buy on sale, use coupons, buy ingredients to cook with instead of buying pre-made foods, but still every time it ends up being a LOT of money for food. no

This happens to me too.
Except it's more I want to go grab one or two things I need for dinner (normally not more than $10) and end up with a whole cart of food. confused

... This is why I now send my husband to the store if I need something for dinner. Or make sure he's with me to make keep me from going crazy buying other things. T^T

Well, I try to only shop once per week, and I make a list and (mostly) stick to it. <sigh>

I think I need to really try to use up the food in the house & buy as little as possible for a while. But when every list starts with "3 gallons of milk", a $10 shopping trip just isn't going to happen. roll eyes

I want to spend the weekend in Bali with my friends to watch a concert and beach party, but my mum wont let me. Got a fight with my mum, Mad at her, then run away from home went to Bali, spend the entire money in my bank account for a whole week in five star hotel ($400 a night) instead of my friend's house and used my dad's credit card for partying in Bali everynight before my dad finally picked me up. I was 19, a student, stupid, spoiled bitch and grounded for next 2 months. I spent too much money more than I intended to (a whole week instead of 2 nights).

Bought a $250 bike. The front wheel got stolen 1 month later. Too broke to buy a new set of wheels. ;_;

Well, it's extended credit card from my dad's in my name. It supposed to be for emergency. I have bought the flight before, never thought my mum would throw a fit and wont let me go just because my brother cant accompany me and she didnt trust me enough that i can take care of myself. In the end she was right. It was stupid really, though i dont regret it bigrazz

I wanted a pair of gloves.
Nothing fancy, just a simple pair of gloves.
Then suddenly at work, they got gloves for sale. And not just that, all kinds of pieces of clothing like hats and scarves and crap of that sort. It's pretty uncommon there.
All I wanted were the gloves that cost around 5$, but I ended up buying a hat for father, three additional pairs of gloves (one for myself and two for mother, who gave me death about not buying any for her in the first place) and mascara.
Instead of 5$, I spent close to 50$ T_T;.

That's by far not the most money I ever overspent, but this has been my latest escapade.

And I have a tendency to buy in bulk.
Stuff with expiration dates...
