Hi!
I'm looking for a manga with character growth, but no just the typical from weak to strong, I'm looking more for a hummm... a change/evolution on the psychological or mental side of the character. Either from a bright vision of the world to a dark one or the other way around is fine for me.
The only thing I'll say is that I would prefer it not to be the typical shounen, I want something serious and more psychological. Maybe is easier to explain myself mentioning some mangas that I really liked, so. Mangas that I'm reading that kind of fit in the description:

Ajin that is absolutely amazing, love the plot, love the gore and love the characters and their possible development. Bad that the translations are coming out so slow as and there is so few chapters out
Saiteihen no Otoko albeit it has little chapters and the MC is disgusting as fuck at first and he still is 6 chapters in, how he grows the determination to do something (trying not to spoil, not that there is much to with six chapters...) and all the dark plot is something I really like
Gantz Although it drags out and the chapters seems to get worse as the time goes on (still haven't finished)
Liar Game What a long ass hiatus...
Monster Still reading it. Such a great manga.
Aku no Hana maybe? I don't know if it fits in my description, but I just love Nakamura and all the abyect, (existentialist?) stuff.

Yes, you can tell I like mangas with dark plot and kind of seinen and psychological content. Does anybody knows some mangas that are like this? Or some manga similar to those I've mentioned?

20th Century Boys- same author as Monster. The characters don't get stronger physically (with the exception of one) but the character development and their growth mentally is amazing. You should also read Urasawa's other works, that man is a genius.

Pretty much.

Shamo has some amazing character growth. The MC was one of the most disgustings guys I've ever seen, and seriously, I just kept on reading this because I wanted to see his butt being kicked until he repents. I don't intend to give you any spoilers, but now I don't read it because of that anymore, since Ryo is slowly buy surely starting to turn into a good guy. This is a long manga and it may take a while to like him though, so... You have to be patient.

I don't know about Vagabond... For me, Musashi is an excelent example of how character growth should be. What I love about this manga is that while reading it you notice that Musashi is taking very short steps forward, and they are not always absolute. I mean that he is starting to understand something but is forgetting another thing, and so on. I find it to be very realistic.

And... How about Vinland Saga? Well this one and Vagabond are extremely famous and I guess that maybe you've already read them... But I think Thorfinn's change of perspective was amazing and very well done.

Well, I don't know. The mangas you mentioned were much heavier on the psychological side... So maybe you're not searching for this kind of mangas that also have lots of action. But if you give them a chance (in case you haven't read them already) I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for

I'm quite certain that Immortal Regis fits it, but he changed in the sequel Cavalier of the Abyss, bright world vision to dark.. He changed so much mentally and physically that you won't believe that it was him in the prequel..

20th Century Boys is a manga I'll definitely check once I finish Monster, as I imagine is one of those long mangas.

Onani Master Kurosawa I've read a little, hahaha, it was funny. It felt like a parody of Death Note. I remember I checked that manga after reading Sundome maybe looking for something simila (btw the ending of that manga leaved me so depressed for a while ) I'll make sure to continue where I let off
Molester Man and Densha Otoko I havent heard off, but they seem really interesting and have good reviews, so I'll make sure to check them out.

Sugar Dark I'm currently reading and I like it, although I'm just at chapter 4

Shamo seems awesome and I'm definitely going to read it.
Vagabond and Vinland Saga. hummmm, I'm going to try, but I'm not really into samurai manga, and for swords and monsters I'm already reading Berserk

Of the manga Knightzomegaz suggested I've only read Akumetsu and Akame ga Kiru! and Code;Breaker has an anime right? I think I saw a couple episodes. I'll definitely check it out along with Immortal Regis.

Nothing to do about Vagabond, if you don't really like samurai manga then it's ok.
Just in case, Vinland Saga has no fantasy on it (like Berserk)... Just in case you misunderstood something. Still I'm glad you're giving Shamo a shot, but as I said it may take a while for you to see the changes in Ryo... A long while.

I'd suggest 7 Seeds by Yumi Tamura. All the characters has great development as the story progresses. If you read the reviews, most of them talked about character growth.

Toukyou Kushu's good, but you might want to wait a bit for the scans to catch up if you want to see some character growth. It's been scanned only up to chpt 30 or so but the manga's now over 100 chpts.

I can't believe no one mentioned Oyasumi Punpun yet! It fits exactly your description.

J no Subete is another interesting manga following the evolution of J; it touches on the theme of sexual identity too.
