YAGI Norihiro, just compare Angel Densetsu with Claymore. There is a big difference. I guess this is the best fit for your request?

Edit: maybe TOGASHI Yoshihiro? But more like "trying a different style" than "changing my style to this one" with Level E and Hunter x Hunter (and inside HxH you can see the improvement in his art style).

IMO, NIHEI Tsutomu improves a lot his facial expressions (comparing Abara with Blame!), they get more details, but I guess it doesn't fit your request... because it is not a big change, more like polishing his art (since the "dark" art style is still the same)... and well, that works for a lot of other mangakas, like comparing Fruits Basket volume 1 art with volume 23... Or CLAMP's Wish with Gate 7, the art gets more detailed, but the style is pretty much the same.

Anyway, I will stop here. haha

Well, Boku o Tsutsumu Tsuki no Hikari and Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte are by the same author (HIWATARI Saki) and have a drastically different style. But there is a 20 year difference so I don't know if it fits your request...

The biggest change I saw in art style from the same author was HIRAMOTO Akira. Compare Ore to Akuma no Blues to his other series (like Kangoku Gakuen) and it's a huuuuge difference.

The only ones that I can think of that actually changed their style, as opposed to improving, has to be CLAMP.
They've actually talked about consciously changing their drawing styles, and you can tell the difference between X and Tsubasa for example.

Well there's certainly a stylistic difference between Rave and Fairy Tail.

[sarcasm]Takahashi Rumiko certainly changes her art style between each manga[/sarcasm]
