I kinda wanted Ann from Sand Chronicles to end up with Fuji,oh well but Daigo is okay.

I know that the main love interest was Narumi, and Ochiai never had a chance, but I was seriously rooting for him.

I like Haibuki waay better than Yuushin.

Yup, this one was icky. I absolutely loved the story, though the way that the best friend sort-of-yaoi relationship ended sucked butt. The guy she ended up with was acceptable for me, though.

I found myself rooting for a surprise Yako and Mei ending, which is very strange for me. I'm a yuri fangirl, not a yaoi one. O_o

I had ambivalent feelings towards Night x Riiko, though I was sad when he died. Though from what I can see from the thread, I wasn't alone in shipping Riiko x Soshi. He was my choice from his first entrance. XD

Damn! I was hoping that she'd end up with Fuji! I'm such a sucker for the stoic black-haired boy. XD

I was really cheering for Fuji. It felt that it was kind of leaning towards that...and then boom bang and the ending...she had to end up with Daigo. I like him and everything, but I like Fuji more with Ann.

But Ann never really wavered from her feelings towards Daigo so I never really expected her to be with Fujii. I just would have liked it if she would.

Keito and Kouchi had this cute and special connection that is very similar to telepathy, yet the mangaka didn't show that anymore after the time with the school's paparazzi-wannabe. I kinda expected them to have that kind of connection again in later stories. But btw Kouchi actually said that Rei was the most important person to him, so maybe there should be another pairing in this manga.

Anthony's death was like the saddest thing ever, her break-up with Terry was devastating (it's like one of the crappiest moment in romance history, poor Terry and Candy!) , but it was not a weird surprise that she ends up with Albert, for he was her first love, the mysterious boy who captured her heart so early in their lives. I'd say it's romantic and above all 'healing' and 'comforting', after all that Candy had been through.

No matter how stupid and annoying both main characters could be, I think it was obvious that they only loved each other. There were no real competitions there, at least to me. The other possible pairings just weren't convincing enough.

Fuuko shouldn't have given up on Ichii to begin with, gaaah. I don't really blame her for her decision, (Ichi was at fault, too), but I hated it!

It's not that I hated Touru-Kyo, I actually liked Kyo, it's just that I liked Yuki better. I was disappointed that it turns out that Yuki only regards Touru as a 'mother' (wtf?!), but I was glad that at least he wasn't heart-broken thanks to this twist.

Yes Fruits Basket...other than Kyou/Tohru (though I did like Yuki/Tohru for a little bit) and Haru/Rin, I hated all the ending pairings.

Akito/Shigure: Wow this relationship was twisty and dark. Yes the whole paper flower thing when they were young was sweet and all but honestly, seeing how they've become and how off some of their 'relationships' to other people were, bringing the two together would just mess them up even further. I guess the mangaka thought that two twisty people could heal each other?

Hatori/Mayu: I hated the whole 'I love my best friend's boyfriend so I go emo-ish him for a while (while 'dating' his best friend) because I want my friend to be happy though I eventually get him' storyline.

Hanajima/Kazuma: I don't know if they actually do end up together though there were a lot of hints to her liking him. I think that he is a bit too old for her and also, it's your best friend's boyfriend's 'father'. That's just a little....eh...

Yuki/Machi: When Machi first showed up, I immediately thought 'ok this is Yuki female version' so imagine my slight disgust that they end up together. This relationship just feels like Yuki wanting to fix her the way that Tohru fixed him.

I totally agree with you except, about Akito/Shigure. I think the idea there may have been that love was the best cure for their problems. Yuki/Machi was defiantly weird, I mean didn't Yuki say something about wanting an even relationship. Besides Machi annoyed me with all her terror tantrums. The Kyou/Tohru relationship ended up being a bit of a let down for me since it seemed like Kyou lost his personality. Like it was supposed to be character development but turned into character un-development.

okay, Tohru ended up with Kyou in the end but what disturbs me is how the mangaka resolves the Love triangle by making Yuki has a "Maternal" feeling on Tohru. and that made me go "WTF".

for exaple momo from peach girl:
she should have just stayed alone, since kairi was in love with the nurse, while he was going out with her; and despite toji being the good boy, he was too naive and I couldn't bear the way he mistrusted momo in the beginning.
same goes for bokura ga ita:
nana forgives yano too many times, and lately takeuchi has become so pitiful in chasing after her...
so on the contrary I'm quite satisfied about the end of parfait tic

yuna lee was perfect with ehren. She really fell in love with rieno just because she spent a lot of time with him at the beginning. It would have been enough for her to end up with him and then she ends up with kahyun??

Sachi and Yuki-chan

Yuki was a complete a-hole and Sachi was only "second best". She should have ended up with Akahoshi.

Fuuko and Daiya

Fuuko should have ended up with Ichii. It truely is a mystery as to why she ended up with Daiya. I think Daiya's a good guy but...

Hachi and Takumi

Maybe not many people would agree with me, but I will always think this couple is wrong for each other.
