What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

I read this series a while ago about an earthquake in Japan... It had a goth girl who was the MC old class mate. Lot's of crap happening with lots of information about earthquakes and things that can happen afterward...

Anyone remember this?
