What type of end do you wish for at this point?

Poll
Berserk what type of end do you wish for at this point?
1. Forced and/or Quick ending.
2. Continue down this road and see what that end may look like, and just hope for the best.
3. I don't care if there is a end or what form the manga takes as long as it continues.
4. I hope for a straight fantasy ending where Griffith and Guts can come to understand each other and be friends and the Apostles continue living happily with the humans...
5. I hope for more pirates, ships, fairies and little girls and somewhat unrelated, only mildly frightening, fantasy monsters before the end.
6. I just wish Miura would tell us he quit so we could get over it.
7. Other

I figured I would put this poll up and see what people's answers are cause I am curious. Its mostly comical... but unfortunately... most of it is real possibilities as well. What do you hope for as far as the rest of the Berserk story and why? Im curious what others hope for.

I am a fan of Berserk and really enjoyed a lot of the earlier stuff and not just the Golden Age. However not just the long hiatus and new weird mini series popping up are somewhat disappointing. I know that opinions differ but I was curious to see what people hope for as far as a ending of Berserk is concerned and the content in between now and a potential ending.

If Naruto finishes before Berserk releases a new chapter, then Berserk would end up dead to me.

I kind-of currently don't give a damn about it anymore.

Kinda stopped giving a damm about it a while ago, I mean Miura is just not interested about it and its hard to keep being enthusiastic about Berserk. Also I have no interest in always re-reading berserk just to recall what the fuck is going on between each hiatus.

What do I wish for?

To have Miyura finish what he started, no cut corners or axed/rushed endings. When you actually have a few chapters to read, Berkerk is still a beast of a manga with pretty much no equals.

Now had you asked what I actually expect to happen.... now that is a different story altogether.

I think he should stop right where it is now
some random ppl[that we have forgotten since its 5 years since we last saw them] make it to a city
the end

he should stop making manga
the mini[turned into a ongoing-forever] is just awful

maybe its the magazines fault
its only interest seems to be nude models and sexual manga
coz ...sex sell

maybe its hard to make good shit when the ppl in charge only wants easy-to-sell garbage

I'm fairly happy with how Berserk is going apart from the release rate, and I'm hoping that Miura comes back refreshed after taking a break to write something else. The end I want is simply for Miura to follow through with his story as planned.

I'd say it's mistake to think that the darkness of the manga has been lost. It's still there, sometimes in the background, but even then there are hints of grimness in the future.

I would appreciate a move away from the new fantasy harem situation and back to the gritty genre it was in originally with deep characters and relationships and passions and developments.
Berserk used to be one man standing against all the evil in the world while others give up or fail- I desperately need to see him succeed in an epic and wisdom inspiring way.
Perhaps Miura should consults some monks before he restarts to that there's some moral/wise development in Gutts' character.

Just for him to finish it... With monthly releases and no breaks.
Damn his breaks.
At this rate, he'll die playing one of his stupid games before finishing Berserk.
Oh, and to please stop with comic relief (elf).
It ain't funny, man.
Over the years, Berserk has suffered a downgrade from its former dark and bloody glory.
It might be the games Miyura keeps playing, it might be that he's lost his genuine interest in Berserk or manga t all... Either way - I don't like it.
I don't know where it's going right now. I had hope for some progress when I left off at chapter 304 or so, but since then no more than thirty chapters have been released. And the last time I read Berserk was like three years ago. What the hell.
I should probably reread it, but the almost upbeat nature of the recent chapters (compared to the beginning) is rather depressing.

I mean, it used to be great and the art has improved and became poster worthy at every corner, but the plot has suffered immensely. Enough is enough.
So, yeah.

Is there no end in sight?

Anyone see the rediculous chapter we waited a year and 1/2 for yet? I can't read it but I did look at it

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There is not a single picture of Guts in the chapter... and only a afterthought of a shot of a small previous scene of griffith riding on zodd... only Rickert Enjoying the beautiful kingdom where monstrous Apostles and humans live happily and harmoniously together. I cannot even explain my disappointment. I almost wish for pirates... and that's sad.

Waiting for releases of Berserk is more painful than waiting for episodes of Game of Thrones.
I'm so apathetic at this point idgaf if rocks fall, everyone dies. I didn't sit through a hiatus to not see Guts.
Though I must say I hate Griffith's charisma bullshit with a passion and would love to see someone bitch-slap him to the ninth circle of hell.

I agree with this statement completely. I have no problem at the direction the story is taking, it's still keeping me entertained and seeing the world created in the story as bigger than i first imagined. If the story was released in a more proper fashion it would viewed the same same way by others, probably. The biggest problem going along with the plot has been the hiatuses, if those weren't involved the story would doubtlessly go along in a epic direction. As for how I want it to end... Well I just want it to stay it's course and focus on the plot points that have been going on for literally years. As long as all those loose ends are tied up, I feel that I would be satisfied putting a close to this manga in my life.

The Griffith chapters are as good as the manga ever was and Guts fought Cthulhu!
Ep. 334 left me in awe. The designs of Falconia are world class art and only few artists like Moebius, Frank Quietly, Urasawa or Osamu could pull such a vast and vivid landscape off. The pacing in tankobon form is also very good. And yes the wait is always long but i never felt let down and liked Gigantomakhia too and even wrote a review.
The only long term form of sequential story of this caliber over 10 years that kept its quality up as high is The Walking Dead (All out War was epic) and Hi no Tori.
Muira said to skulknight forums that the manga will run for about 55 volumes so 10-15 more years of waiting await and i couldn´t be more content. The opening pages are trash in retrospect, the pirates arc could have gone 2 chapters shorter and too many characters tried to rape Casca so it nearly became a joke but these are the only faults i can find to reasonably complaint about the manga´s quality overall. The "new movies" though.
For shame Celsius 4! The myth that Miura is lazy is obviously not true. I actually think that drawing 1 page a day at his quality is VERY fast. The art/plotting/research eat up nearly all his life. I don´t even think that editorial can interfere with him anymore.
Just like Hunter X Hunter. If i were him i would just walk away for a few years or at least half my speed to enjoy middle age but he is a man possessed and it shows.
I wish him and my fellow Bersek fans all the best and look forward to the next big genre shift in Guts and Grifith miserable life. Enjoy the new hiatus after Ep. 335 laugh .

I just want closure on all these points:
-Get to Elf Island so that Casca can get sane again,
-Guts' party elf magic power up
-Minimize the amount of time spent on Casca's mental recovery
-Travel as quick as possible to Falconia (maybe use elf magic to speed things up)
-Kill Godhand
-Guts fights Griffith
-Casca kills Griffith the same way she killed that rapey lord who bought her from her family.
-All magical things dissapear with the godhand.
Apostles are gone.
Monsters are gone.
PUCK IS GONE!! biggrin
Guts and casca pairing. HAPPY END.

Or, everybody can die. At this point, while I prefer the Happy end, I need closure on this enough to accept the dead end.
