I just remember one scene from the manga:
One guy liked a girl, but got dragged by a completely different girl to a love hotel. The girl didn't drag him there to have sex though, I think she was bothered by another guy and she grabbed MC to escape the situation. Another goal of the girl was to get something to drink (which the hotel provided). In the hotel room the guy and the girl talked about their problems with each other while drinking beer and I think the girl started to like the guy. Anyway, the guy was being melancholic and looking through the window, when he spotted his love interest passing by. I think she saw him too and at the very moment the other girl gave MC a hug from behind or maybe she just came to the window. The guy found himself in a major bind and tried to clear the misunderstanding with his love interest, but all that came to nought because of all the peculiar sounds coming from the building.

I'm think it was a seinen romance series, possibly mature, but not borderline H. Does this scene sound familiar to anyone?

Nope dosn't ring a bell, but how many chapter's were out ? and is the art style good?

I think the main female love interest was rather innocent (or naive). Other than that, I don't remember anything else (I might have dropped the series).
